I shall be at Lingfield tomorrow to watch SQUIRE run in the 4:00
He steps up to 1m 4f for the first time tomorrow so we will find out how well he stays. You can expect him to be dropped in tomorrow as he has to learn that he cant always have his own way out in front and needs to be able to settle. Hopefully they will go a decent gallop and he can get a run off a strong pace. He is drawn ten of ten so will probably have to drop in some way back. We think the extra trip will suit him and he has come on again since his last run. He looks likely to be going off at double figures and whilst it looks a fairly decent race we would like to think that he has a very good chance of making the frame. The Mark Johnson horse, Watersmeet, comes here off the back of a tidy win last time out and will be hard to beat. After tomorrow Squire will next be seen on the turf and we anticipate him being better there than on the AW.

Draw 10 isn't too bad mate - Draw 1 is the dodgepot as in the last 4 years, any races at Southwell with 8 or more runners over 1m 4 or further has yielded 0 winners from 58 in stall 1 <ok>

Hopefully the Johnson horse is drawn 1!!

Eyecatching thing about that 4.00 heat is that the last 2 winners of the race reappear again – The Lady of Lunchalot and The Cornish Cowboy. Down to 9 runners as Beyonce's tune now a non-runner.

69 does look a workable perch re Squire and he should bag some prizemoney in my view. As Stick says though this Watersmeet is the joker in the pack. Just how good is he?!?

Best of luck Stick. The two I'd be interested in the race would be Jarlath & Thecornishcowboy but I won't be having a bet, i'm trying the no betting through the week thing for a few weeks. I hope Squire gets home for you mate or at the very least you get a good run, the horse comes back well and you learn a bit more

BLACK NARCISSUS out again tomorrow fellas with the oddschecker comment "looks vulnerable under a penalty". I don't think so and as long as the beggar jumps off he could be a few pounds well in. I am happy enough to risk some of last weeks winnings on it again. Sadly not 28-1 this time!

Good luck tomorrow with Squire, Stick <ok>

I was one of the lucky ones on BN at 40's LTO so even at a stingy 5-1 this time I'm only playing with bookie money :)

Enjoy your day, good luck all :)

All the best with Squire Stick. Have stuck him in an ew L15 with 3 at Newton Abbot. Earthmoves, Nicholls/Twisters only runner and down in grade. Golden Chieftain, I remember this one bolting up in a festival handicap a few years back. Now well below that mark and the money for it suggests the handbrake is well and truly off tomorrow. Uhlan Bute, can't remember why I picked this one out!
Good luck all but especially Squire.
