POTY will be a tricky choice this year. A fair few weeks back I'd have said five were clear of the rest: Chester, Dawson, Diame, Elmo and Jelavic (in alphabetical order, not preferential). But with three of them now having missed huge chunks of the season it gets harder to pick them. Jela may still come into contention, but right now I'd be leaning towards Elmo. Bruce? Definitely not POTY... but third place? Maybe, at a stretch. The next 7 weeks or so will change things for sure, though.
It is far from decided and I am very glad of that; what we need is a star, a saviour, a hero, yes a hero, to take the remaining games by the scruff of the neck, blast us to safety with three to play and to be immortalised on a banner for ever more.
