Because Hull City still exists? And it will continue to, despite our owner's arrogant egotistical petulance.
And a great 3-0 away win there one night a few years earlier when they were top and Holdsworth was scoring for fun.
Don't know if this has been posted tonight, I've been out. Burnsy has had a telephone conversation with AA tonight. "Just had a 47 minute telephone conversation with Hull City owner Assem Allam. Most of it is off the record, but, on the record..... #hcafc Hull City owner Assem Allam asks me of the fans " what is the problem? If you don't like me I go, what's the problem?" #hcafc contd... Hull City's Assem Allam tells me " I could sell the club in 10 days, if you don't want me to wait for a good home, but ......" #hcafc contd. Contd, Hull City owner Assem Allam." but you would regret it for ever." #hcafc Hull City owner Assem Allam says he has 2 potential buyers for the club, though I'm not sure whether he considers them a good home. #hcafc"
It's on the Chairman thread. Deserves resposting though, shows more of the Allams' arrogant petty delusions.
2 potential buyers talking to the Allams. It's frying pan / fire time. Hope everyone's nervous, you should be.
It's more bullshit, there are plenty of other clubs up for sale including some in the premier league which can't find a buyer. And yet they are forming a queue to buy Hull City. More nervous that he might not go, despite saying he would.
You missed this though @bbcburnsy: @englishtiger2 He admits the row with the Council is at the root of it. He feels the fans should have asked more questions of the council. And oddly he's deleted his tweet which said he thinks a buyer is from China, but it was @bbcburnsy: Final thought from me on Hull City tonight. I think one of the potential buyers of the club is from China. #hcafc
That's because there were elements of the phone conversation that Burns was told were off the record and because he's a cretin, he's tweeted it. Someone with more than one brain cell will then have told him to remove it.
Yep Although the admission that the spat with council was at the root of things may be of more interest to the FA?
Wind your neck in and you may get a better view. "The Airco Arena is owned by HCC not HCFC or SMC it not yours/Hull Citys to do with as you/Allam wants" You could not be more wrong if you wanted to be. The arena is a community asset, of that there cannot be any doubt, but ownership and management are two different things. The arena does not run at a profit. If it was managed by the council, its owners, it would not be viable and would face closure, if indeed it was still open. Ennerdale faces a constant battle to have funding. Money has been cut from healthy living programs, resulting in referrals to council run gyms being reduced. One of the strongest critics of Assem and Ehab Allam has posted that he will not sign the petition to stop the evictions. That does not mean that he had done a u turn. I am not trying to justify why he has done this, just saying that for me supporting the academy comes before roller derby.
I think that might be an incorrect interpretation by Burns. I do not think the name change issue has anything directly to do with the Council'. But I do think the spat with the Council is why the Allams want to go.
Allam doesn't even pretend it's not about the council, when we tried to talk him out of the name change bollocks, he made it very clear that this was his motivation.
someone should point out to him that instead of hating the hcc he should be hating the party his oppos represented. he wouldn't understand though.
