What benefit to the football club would arise from that compromise? It's surely the worst of all worlds for all parties.

I think the only way he'll drop it is if HCC change their name.

Hull FC kicked Hull City AFC off the Boulevard the minute the rugby club realised that football was a bigger draw then rugby.
Hull Speedway folded up because no-one actually went to watch it.

According to Ehab in his interview the name change could be worth £20-30 million <doh>

I'd rather be watching Hull City in the Conference as I'll not be watching Hull Tigers in ANY league

Was that the one were Tom Belton took the entire team to a chippy after the match? He was a simple guy with simple ambitions - he even used to answer the phone direct if you called the club - but **** me I'd swap him for Allam any day.

At the start of all of this I said I would accept Hull City Tigers if that was proposed.
What in 1949? I am not talking about Hull Vikings

"I do not think there is a compromise" as I posted. I always felt that a compromise was possible but now I don't. If you recall that was the original start of all of this and I would have reluctantly accepted Hull City Tigers.

It strikes me as arrogance by both AA and Ehab, the old man said that revenue from the gates was I thing 7% of revenue so the fans are irrelevant. Firstly without the fans in the stadium there would be no atmosphere. Secondly if we drop into the Championship, then all of a sudden the percentage value of gates receipts would shoot up, so then do we become relevent?

If we drop into the Championship how are their loans going to get paid/repaid?

Actually FC didn't. FC were happy to have them there. In fact they were considering scrapping their reserve team and using the money for a football team. It was the RFL who stopped football being played there. Probably in a panic because Manningham, the RL Champions had disbanded and formed Bradford City. In the other hotbed of RL, Leeds, a football team was starting up. The last thing they wanted was a successful football team in Hull.
At one time in the 1970s Hull Vikings were getting more than City, FC and Rovers put together. Didn't last long but showed the propensity of a lot of Hull folk to jump on any bandwagon in the short term.

TOM,I think we discussed this a long time ago.Hull City Tigers was never going to be more than a one season step change to get the moronic sheep to start on the path towards his end game.Assem said as much himself. As for the "AFC" part, that's a red herring,a minor distraction.Unless there are plans to not be a football club then whatever name you come up with will have FC or AFC tagged on to the end.It doesn't have to be used day to day,Arsenal,Chelsea,Everton or Tottenham as examples don't generally use it...But it's there.Keeping or losing the word"Association"would make no difference whatsoever so why throw it away?....It is and always has been between"City" and "Tigers" and nothing else, and as we are already known by both,in name and nickname,I really can't see what he would be trying to achieve by changing this.

The end game is Allam's Tigers - and if you can't see that you're a ****ing idiot - everything he does involves putting his name all over it

I know that,I was just giving TOM the benefit of the doubt.

EDIT:..Also I don't think that we would see that happening in Allams lifetime so it's not a primary concern at the moment.

I agree there are two separate issues linked by the business acumen of the owners.

The name change is dead unless Hull City submit a new application. But only if they accept the ruling of panel. It is unlikely they will do so before 1 April because we aren't safe from relegation. The last think Assem Allam wants is to be relegated as Hull Tigers.

The FA have been told by the panel they don't have to consider the old application and that a new one is required. So why would they re-consider it, especially as the result may end up with further arbitration costs.

If a new application goes in then they need a business case and a ballot showing a majority in favour. Unless we have sponsors waiting outside the door demanding we become Hull Tigers they are unlikely to pass either test.

The Category 2 status depends on Hull City having a valid lease for the Airco Arena. Hull City Council, according to one of Councillor Clark's tweet are seeking legal advice putting doubt on the validity of the SMC's actions. If it isn't resolved by the time of the audit the Premier League could simply say no, especially if the owner of the property says they can't do it under the terms of the lease.

If Burns is correct the club could have put a bubble pitch on the land at Melton but didn't. They could have put a bubble pitch up at Ideal Standard but didn't.

The failure to put in place the most essential part of our bid to become a Category 2 Academy comes down to a failure of business leadership. No ifs, no buts, they have had plenty of time to sort this and didn't.

He would have to fall in line and take his turn after our garden gnome, Sunbeam Tiger and few others on here. Especially our garden gnome, whose single cell brain, can't tell which Allam you are talking about even after being given a couple of clues. It must be caused by all the **** he is licking off Allam's arse.:emoticon-0136-giggl:emoticon-0136-giggl

"We come first and other have to accept it "........Are you related to Allam ?
Can I point out a crucial fact that appears to have evaded you, The Airco Arena is owned by HCC not HCFC or SMC it not yours/Hull Citys to do with as you/Allam wants, and if this is an attempt to justify the way hes gone about then it looks like your pi$$ing in the wind my friend as apart from the most devout Allam follower the condemnation for him is pretty universal
