Come on, TC. I'm sure there are some stats about Millwall Vs Charlton which I've forgotten. PLease remind me.
I've been scouring the Millwall forum, and he seems to have been holed below the waterline. It does happen, just as when Houndal disappeared after Parky got Bradford promoted and took them to the League Cup Final.
Nineteen points clear of Millwall, how did that happen? I think TC has disappeared into the Bermondsey triangle, did you see the attendance last night? It really pains me to see Millwall heading for Div1.
Nineteen points and counting. Now the Bermondsey boys won't give us our full ticket allocation. I wonder why , any ideas TC ?
Captain, a quick look at past posts by TC should give an idea of our form against the neighbours. Usually, if they are way off form, we get a draw. This has to be our chance to win, but man, if I was a betting man, I would'nt back us.
On the other hand, Nah.... let's kick him while he's down. He'd do it to us, literally. I always said he was all mouth and trousers and his craven capitulation is ample evidence of that. Typical Millwall, really.
I must say I am rather disappointed in TC. I didn't think he was the sort of person who would not front it out.
21 points ahead and still counting. Think TC will come back to this site, if and when Millwall beat us. Think the game will end up all square.
He will be back on here if they beat us next Friday, 100% guaranteed. I am just praying that our players turn up next Friday. Anyone else remember the game at the Den in the mid 80s....we were 2-0 up with a few mins to go.....Paul Williams scored I recall. There was a large net along with. Fence separating our fans from theirs behind the goal. Needless to say, Millwall scored twice at the death to finish 2-2. And we got pelted with coins when they did.
This is the first year I've decided against. I've been to the last four, but decided against this one. They always keep us held back (except for the time South Bermondsey station was closed, when Riga was in charge?). I hate standing around, at the gates, ready to leave. I probably would have gone if it was Tuesday night though. I've always been up for this game being on a Tuesday (same as Watford, Brentford, and most London based games), instead of playing Derby. I'd probably go to Derby, or Leeds if they were on Saturdays.
I remember that 2-2 game vividly. 40-ish years later and I am STILL blaming myself for the result. Despite my knowing the usual consequences of such actions.......at 2-0 with a couple of minutes to go.......I could contain myself no longer and started.......yes......gloating! After their equalizer I was distraught and have been so ever since. It was clearly my fault. My gloatyness had been spotted by the spiteful Gods of Football who let me have it straight between the eyeballs with both barrels. I married my current missus, or Project 2 as she is affectionately known, 30 years after that game and she knows about it all too well. Oh the pain!
