The one thing about us at WFC, is we are less confident than the players. This year, our record against the top 7 is awful. (So far, W2, D3 L6 including at Portman road) - so I would cheer up a bit. Our recent history, (before this season) was the stuff of nightmares - go 2 up then fall apart. We have cured that tendency, but we do start slowly and we do usually have a better 2nd half. The main thing is - it ought to be a cracking game, D'Urso apart, who probably frightens all of us. I think ITFC will get into playoffs. Us, well anything is possible - given our goals for & against. We've just recruited a Connolly - hope there's not too much calling for the ball! Cheers
The thing is out of the last 20 games against Watford we have won just 2! Massive game this one... If we can pull off a great performance and win, it could really set us up for the run in.
I just hope we stick one on that dirty bastard Ekstrund nice and early as pay back for the assault he committed on Johnny! And they had the brass neck to call us a Physical Team!
I don't like those kind of stats - up until this season we hadn't won more than 1 game in Lancashire in the course of a season since the 70s. We won 3 this term so records are all there to be broken. Hope all of you who make the trip have a safe one and enjoy your day but not too much!
I'd absolutely love Richard Chaplow to go straight through him first 20 seconds. I always remember idiots who try to take me out when I'm playing and next time they certainly get a " challenge " back. Love how Watford on Harry from Bath have called us a hoofball team. Kettle black, they have been a hoofball club for year upon year. A little bit rich! I am actually looking forward to how good Watford are live. They have some good players. I expect them to be fluid and open us up time and time again to be honest. More than happy for us to be a physical direct side tomorrow. Get the ball down and play on the deck would result in a 4-0 loss.
Mind you I just realised that we have Wurso as the Ref and he will be just itching to send one of ours off or deny us any kind of fair treatment whatsoever.
I wouldn't worry about that too much. Our players only have to shake their head in the wrong way and get a card. In fact that might be the bet - both teams to get a red...
We have plenty of "previous" with this dickhead in games that he has "officiated" at Portman Road down the years! I have seen my fair share of incompetent referees but Durso takes it to a new level.
Fair enough! I do have to laugh when Premier league club supporters slag off the standard of refeeeing though - they should see what we all have to put up with.
To be honest most Town Fans have already written off this game as a Home Win anyway irrespective of what lunacy the Ref decides to do on the day!
" Thanks very much for your contribution today. That five point def is now three. Cheers " Don't see it. 7 games to make up 5 points.
I think that last Saturday (before the Boro match) we would have taken 6 points from the week. I know I would have done. Of those 7, we have 4 at home and should be aiming to get 10 points from them, which would see us through to the play offs
Exactly great week! I know I anything can happen but I'm delighted we have Blackpool at home to come! Come on you blues.
If that's the only game we lose from now until the end of the season I don't think you'll hear too many bitching
