I don't think that King Tut realises how many fans will waln away if he gets his own way And it won't be a minority
If we stay up, how many other Premier league teams will be UK City of Culture? How many other Cities with struggling Premier League teams gave birth to the man who wrote the first universal rules of association football? We held the first penalty shoot out in the UK in this City? All it takes is a little thought to find reasons to make us stand out.
suppose Burnsey did ask the questions you all wanted answering, EA then answered them how you wanted and blamed their relationship with the council... Just what will that achieve? HCFC should be floated on The London Stock Exchange, then everyone can buy shares - The club gets financed THAT way and share holders can have a say in how the club's run.
Well done David Burns . Please keep it up any slip up now and you are going to get accused of been in Allams pocket .
You had to love the way when questioned about the financial case Ehab refused to give any figures/proof etc, all he ciould say was that we need to stand out & that we need £20-£30 million more than the clubs around us in order to compete. I'd love to see any business case for a name change that could provide that £20-£30 million....... It was also interesting that Ehab did not deny that the fans are irrelevant !!
Part two of Ehab's interview, concentrating on pissing off the Airco mob, is on at 10.00am. I'll post updates.
He's blaming the media for stirring up public feeling, he won't reconsider the decision, 'we never change our minds'. DB - Shouldn't you consider the right and moral thing to do? EA - I'm doing the the right and moral thing for me.
Listening to it on the way home from the game, firstly I thought Burnsey did a good job, and the first media person I have heard that asked probing questions. Secondly after EA replies, he comes out with even less credability that before, non of his replies made any sence, and it makes you wonder what planet EH and is father live on.
Burnsy is pressing Ehab on why he's not working with the Council to help those affected at the Airco. He says as long as he works within the terms of the lease, he doesn't need to talk to the Council about anything.
The interview was all pretty much as you might expect, particularly if you heard the first part yesterday, as it was just more of the same. There are three major events booked at the Airco, the Squash Open, A business expo and an international trampoline event. For these three events a temporary floor will be installed, but once these three events are out the way, only grass based sports will have access too the arena.
H.A.R.D. @hullsangels We are meeting with the other clubs tonight, where we will discuss our next steps re. #AircoForAll, including comments made by Ehab Allam.
Delighted that Humberside has taken a stance, finally. This is important. It becomes patently clear how, when pressed even just a little, by someone who cares, how it all falls apart rather quickly. More interviews please, Ehab & Assem.
Sadly, I suspect from actual experience, though cannot prove it here in this case, it is probably the reason that they have taken a 'softly softly' approach with our Chairman etc. It has however, got to a point where hard questions cannot be avoided any longer. Whatever one thinks of Burnsy, he is still a journalist and not a bad one. In this interview he acted like one and not just an 'entertaining' sports presenter. I am certain they won't go for banning him or the BBC. It would be a very counter productive move, as they will also lose the opportunity to soft soap through Levy. Not that what I think matters (I am irrelevant after all) but they should just move on and actually turn this into a positive - and they could quite easily. They could earn a lot of respect and save face by dropping this nonsense now, saying it was an idea that perhaps could work one day in the future but perhaps not for now, embrace the fans and start talking to other parties like HCC. Tan has done it at Cardiff ... well to some extent!
