Tomorrow I fly home to Vancouver Island after watching my team win their 3rd Johnstone's Paint Trophy in convincing style. I never though I would have the opportunity to watch them play in front of a crowd of 73,000+ and what a day it turned out to be for Ann and I.

I got to meet a regular 606er who got my ticket for me and we bonded well and will keep in touch by 6006 or more conventional means. Thanks to cidered I lived out a dream that has enabled me to cross something off my bucket list that I never knew existed before City reached this final. Now it's back to my normal life after 4 months away and I look forward to the summer on my beach and hopefully a much loved football team that has returned to the Championship, and who knows from there.

Thanks again to cidered for his help along the way, and his companionship at Wembley was much enjoyed by Ann and myself and I know we'll meet again some sunny day (no Vera Lynn jokes please).

Well done Bristol City. Hope you all got home safely and enjoyed the day as much as I did.

Glad you enjoyed it Mike, I kept looking at block 116 to see the Canadian flag, but no luck I'm afraid.

Like you I met a fellow 606 and I know him and his son are a lot richer than they went to today. Banksy had Flint to score first, his boy had Flint to score anytime and the score to be 2-0. So fair play to them both.

Great day out, but five hours to get there and a first for me. A traffic jam to get into a services. We took over Reading services <laugh>

Slightly dissapointed with the atmosphere, not saying it was bad just not the same in the old Wembley. And the way people looked at me like I was a nutter when I stood up because I hate gas.

Very glad to read that you had a great day Mike, and were able to rearrange your trip back home with the cherry on the cake with the Wembley win! Safe travels back to that beautiful part of Canada you live in!

    Block 118! T**t.

PS. Great second half yesterday. Shame we did not get the title but at least that other lot didn't.

The signing was very poor. Much better at matches like Orient and MK Dons away. The sound just bounces around and you can't join in very easily. I didnt hear any cider songs at all. The scarf waving was awesome. When the players came out and 72,000 were cheering and waving flags and scarves and stuff it was immense.

I had great seats to watch the game, but wish I could have been down the bottom for when the cup came around. I thought the players were great at the end, coming round to every section. I wish they had put the winning podium facing more of the crowd though. My view had that flippin big balloon in the way and we couldn't really join in the boisterous fun.

Looking forward to watching the highlights later this evening

I know my cousin did the same bet and was £162 richer on £2 bet.

He was nervous at half time wasn't he? Did you get back to your seat in time for the goal? We missed it
