    Pedestrian,or what?

We were putting in balls into/behind them and they were 'having a hard time of it'

    To say the least.

I said that early in the week. Get the ball down the sides of the CB's and over the top and they struggle. Soton did it really well last week.

They're great being solid and defending infront of them.

You weren't the only one, I said before Jelavic was ruled out for 6 weeks or so to start Hernandez and get him running in behind or runninh at them with pace, it worked and it should of paid of with at least a point, but we were very unlucky.

Loved Macca not giving Cahill an inch in their many tussles in the box.

He played great. If there's a 50/50 you'd bet macca to win or clatter em every time

True. Sure I saw Macca pick Cahill up and manhandle him into the goal at one point.

The gruesome twosome were ****ing awful today,

Watching the likes of Gerrard and Terry stumble embarrassingly towards retirement is regularly putting a smile on my face ATM.

Courtois won them the game, he is an amazing keeper. (Despite his gift of goal for Hernandez) 8 shots on target, 2 goals, that means that he made 6 saves. That triple save, N'Doye's free kick, Hernandez 1 on 1 at 1-0, did N'Doye have a header saved as well? I can't remember, anyhow they were all top saves, he won them the game.

Jelavic would have scored the 1 v 1 last week and this one today.
    Elmo should have placed it.

Jelavic wouldn't hve gotten on to the one this week. I think Hernandez after the first half hour would have buried that, it's clearly confidence with him, look how he missed that chance and started falling to bits, then how rapidly he improved and grew into the game.

A lot more to come from him, I think he'll make it and prove to be a big player for us over the last few games of the season, and hopefully next.

Terry was all over the place. Cahill is Englands best defender....no wonder we're ****.
Ivanovic is on his last legs too.

Just remembered the pass their LB hit over to the right wing second half. amazing pass that was.

I was surprised how bad those two and Ivanovic were. They're normally really solid. Courtois' save from the free kick was brilliant.

Although it was a mental pass to Ivanovic, I can't believe how Ivanovic just doesn't notice at all. Hernandez still had no right to get to it first but Ivanovic just casually turned round, didn't have a clue.

I thought, over the course of the game, Ivanovic was their best player after Hazard.

It's a shame the rumoured deal to sign Hazard's brother didn't come off in the summer.

As much as it is exploiting their lack of pace at the back, it is equally as effective taking Matic out of the game by playing the ball over the top. They look a lot more vulnerable without him and we took him out the game. Just a shame Hazard is absolutely world class.
