1- Ramirez - his best game in a city shirt IMO N'Doye Robbo also enjoyed seeing McShane marauding forward
Robbo Elmo Gaston(o) Really hard to pick three, even harder to put them in order! Great team performance.
N'Doye Robertson Elmo Ramirez almost deserved to be in there but was let down by his shooting. Great team effort overall. We should have had at least a point but Dawson had his worst game yet.
Gaston - a little more composure at times would have improved an excellent performance. His best for us. N'Doye - Works hard, and an intelligent player to boot. McShane - Could have been half a dozen others but his determination was awesome today so just pips it for him.
Robertson McShane Livermore - thought he had his best game for ages. Don't think anyone had a really bad game overall. Really enjoyed it.
Livermore. Elmohamady. Robertson. Hard to leave the likes of Ramirez, N'Doye, McShane out if the top 3, hard to leave out most of the team in all honesty. McGregor, could of done better with all 3 goals, however it doesn't mean he played badly. He does seem inept at saving shots from outside the box though, not sure if it's a weakness or a coincidence that he's let in quite a few long range shots. 1st goal Bruce was drawn out by Costa by a flick onto to Hazard who showed why he is in the top 10 of top players in the world, Dawson couldn't lunge in as Hazard would of been 1 on 1 with McGregor. It took an amazing shot to score from there, Hazard produced it, not much error on Dawson's part. 2nd goal started because of poor positioning from Elmo, he left Dawson to track Costa on his own, and then for some unknown reason Dawson went to the ground as Costa shot, that's how he managed to score from that angle, however McGregor should of had it covered, who knows. 3rd goal was lucky on their part, it flicked up off McGregor's boot onto his hand on the way in. Thought I'd give you an in depth account of each goal, I've just watched the highlights, that first goal for us, wow what a run/cross from Robertson, the kid is a talent.
Thought all the lads were great. Certainly never saw Gaston been MOTM at the game myself. N'Doye was ****ing ace. Quite a few times second half he should have been played in but wasnt. That shoulder charge on Willian? was ace, knocked him flying. Jake. I think he's a better player wiithout Tom. Shootings ****ing ****e though. Bruce. He beat Costa in the air every time. I thought Greegsy was really slow reacting to the third goal, not seen it on telly yet. Proud of all the lads. Just a lack of quality with corners and crosses towards the end.
N'Doye - such a great player for us. I appreciated Sagger's hold up play last season, but Dame has also the rest of it in his locker too. Ramirez - quality passing. Jake - he's quietly putting in shifts, good to see he's getting praise on here a bit more recently Elmo, Robbo, Macca and Bruce Jr could have taken top 3 as well if I wasn't half pissed. I'd really like to see Livermore, Ramirez and Diame play together against Swansea.
Meyler is far more effective in the three man midfield than Quinn is , the only player that will take Meyler's place will be Diame if he gets fit
Elmo - Mr. Consistent, he's so good we take him for granted so I think he deserves it today, quality crosses and got himself in a great position to score the goal which got us back in the game. N'Doye - Seems to be involved in everything, £2.2M was an absolute steal, the difference he has made will keep us up for sure. Ramirez - full of running today and for once we seemed to have an effective AM on the pitch. Honourable mentions to Robbo, AB, Jake, Macca and Abel
1. N'Doye - agree with Chazz's points. A real class act - pure joy to watch. 2. Ramirez - best game in a city shirt. 3. McShane - jeez he was well up for the game today, went into every challenge with real vim and vigour. Agree it is difficult to leave anyone out. Gutted at the result, but proud as hell and I have no voice left at all - so Mrs Lincoln Tiger is at least happy
