Caught most of the Kiddy game at Nuneaton on BT sport yesterday. A howling gale and a ploughed field of a pitch made for a dire spectacle. Kiddy looked very poor for a promotion chasing team and could have lost at the death. Wildig played on the right hand side of midfield but everything was channelled to the left or kicked over his head so it was no surprise he could make little impression and was taken off before the hour. I am a bit surprised that so many posters on B and A regard him so highly - he put in a few creditable performances in League 1 but not much more that that for me. Reading between the lines of what MM has said it seems his commitment to fitness and training has been in question so it seems unlikely he will have much of a role to play this season if he returns. Other points of interest were a decent performance from Lee Hughes for Kiddy and Asante not even being brought on from the bench.
Wildig has got an insightful pass on him - as long as others are aware what he is capable of. He isn't strong in some things and would need a good defensive player alongside him.
