I think he's available in the summer. He'd be perfect for us even if on high wages.

Another striker who can't score goals?

    No thanks Peter!

He should be retiring at the end of this season. He's had his contract with his boyhood club, he's had a good run, he should just stop.

Lambert gets goals when he's given the right service. I don't think we are going to get somebody like Costa.

Decent enough but nowhere near the standard of player that would warrant ripping up the clubs wage structure and breaking the bank to get here, and lets not even go down the road that we may be playing in the championship next year

I wouldn't think he would come here if we had been relegated!

Can you give an example of a striker we could realistically get and would be worth getting?

Good. So we beat Sunderland and Leicester and I missed all the goals?

    Silly comment.

More likely looks like it highlights that you saying we don't need a striker was a silly comment.

Considering a striker scored in one, and no strikers started in the other (due to one of Bruce's blunders) it was a pretty damn silly comment from you.

Tottenham got 4 against Leicester yesterday. Why do you think that Jelavic and N'Doye are not strikers? They started in both matches.

Jelavic, Hernadez and N Doye are IMO the best three strikers at any of the bottom six teams.
Its our lack of creativity in midfield and our lack of ability to attack at pace that is the problem/was the problem.

If Jelavic is injured regularly and N'Doye's future is uncertain then we are short. Sunderland played with three strikers yesterday.

I thought you were on about the home game.

Regardless, I think all 3 are good enough, if we're to bring in another, one of them will probably leave.

I can't believe people think we're alright for strikers. Look at the evidence. With Jelavic were a midtable side. Without him we're absolutely awful.

N'Doye is good and has given us another option but we need both of them fit. Even then, when one has to come off in the second half we lose our lead every time, and then can't get back on the front foot. Sunderland is a perfect example of that.

Hernandez still needs to come good, and even when he does, this season shows you need plenty of decent cover up front. Roo is right that Aluko and Sagbo don't count at all. Not even as 4th choice.

People say it's the midfield but we create and score enough when we have decent strikers on the pitch, then we create nothing without them, with the same midfield. It's bleeding obvious what the problem is there!
