Just seen saggy chops junior on sky saying that Joe Allen has to be dropped for the united game in place of the fit again Stevie G.

This bloke is everything that's wrong with football. He's the same as Woy.

Don't pick the player in the form of his life, break up the team in the best form in the league to pick the semi retired "godlike genius" who's past his best.

It's ridiculous how much weight a face and a name carry in football and how little form/ability sometimes do.

I hope they lose the final of the FA cup by 15 goals!! With Stevie G's birthday cake getting literally pissed on as well as metaphorically!

Ive always liked Gerrard, gave everything for England when others just trotted round the pitch at major tournaments looking lost (Rooney, Lampard etc) he's undoubtedly the best English player of his generation and in my lifetime is only second to scholes as far as English midfielders go......I'd still pick on form though

Regarding picking an England team on form alone, the first ever full time England manager Sir Alf Ramsey was being constantly being asked by journos why he was not picking certain players who were in top form at the time. His reply was that he picked the team for a formation and that only the players who fell into that team framework were the ones he chose. The men for the job were picked from Blackpool and Huddersfield (Div2 at time) as well as top division players.

Joe Allen is ****ing ****e though, he may be in the 'form of his life' but the reality is he is not good enough to play for Liverpool, not even close.

    Neither is Gerrard now mind...

He has been an excellent servant for both club and country, but the fact is that he is not the player he was and his form does not warrant a place in their starting line up...Personally I hope he does start because I would prefer to to see Man U win this one..

If Liverpool/gerrard win the f a cup, Gerrard will get the OBE, MBE and the streets will be lined with millions of people. He might be prime minister or pope one day !

Got to admit I hope Man Utd win this one. I live in Liverpool (well I did until I recently moved to the Wirral but same difference) and the amount of gloating last year regarding the demise of Man Utd annoyed me.

Joe Allen? FFS the kid is a ****ing joke. Brenda has been desperate to prove he's not a £15m flop and he's had 3 games where he's managed 3 forward passes instead of his usual sideways **** and all of a sudden he's the next Zidane.

Watch the little rat score tomorrow now!

Gerrard deserves this last game against United, it's his game where he just seems to bring it.

Chatting about him as an all time English great will stop once his career can be put in perspective. People argue he's had poorer players around him so he's not won as much.

Excuses, excuses. Same old crap from Merseyside.
