Well at least that will be something to cheer for if England don't pull it off then. Just went over for a try within 2 minutes though, so I'd be cautious with your optimism!
No one correctly predicted the score in the poll this weekend, which is a shame because there was a surprise prize of £10k, which will not be rolled over. Any correlation to our recent run of form ending with a disappointing draw in the first match after my match threads return is purely coincidental, and I accept no responsibility
Antenucci better be careful scoring all these goals, he might find himself left in the changing room next match
Got to say fair play to England, they're going for it big style. Think it will be a bridge too far, but we'll see.
The only result I would be unhappy with is an england win that isn't big enough to stop plastic ISIS winning the title.
Cryptic (sorry I should have made allowances for the demographic), Graceless, possibly, but not totally inaccurate
Blackpool v Leeds saw a game being played on a somewhat patchy, lumpy, bumpy and holy pitch. Some Leeds fans were seen carrying their bucket and spades to the game incase they were called upon to try and help level the pitch a bit before kick off. Our line up included our normal defensive players, the best midfield in this league and the donkey up front. First half saw a very scrappy game with a bad performance from Leeds, sounded like we were just chugging along after forgetting to pull the choke out on the mower, the best midfield in league contributed very little and the donkey was ambling along somewhere down the sideline picking up any bits of grass he could find to chew on. Blackpool had the better fortunes of the first half managing to mow their way around the sandy banks, bunkers and holes to the first goal from a 9 iron set piece. Leeds couldn't tiptoe through the tulips to grab an equaliser and Blackpool went into the garden shed 1-0 up at halftime. Second half saw Leeds coming out looking a little more rosey, but despite sharpening their blades and making several attempts to mow their way through Blackpools defence, and having some very close shaves in front of the Blackpool goal the coming equaliser seemed to be continuing to slowly shrivel and die, untill substitutions were made around the 53rd minute with Antenucci and the wandering nomad coming on for Mowatt and the donkey. The grass began to look greener with Antenucci's presence, and some of the other players seemed to sprout a little more enthusiasm as some urgency began to grow. 8 minutes after coming off the bench Antenucci potted a goal in the back of the onion bag from a good assist from Bellusci; the goal was like having fertiliser thrown on the desert sands, or Blackpools football pitch and there were signs Leeds performance might begin to blossom. Although both sides tried to build and grow something out of nothing, the wandering nomad just couldn't seem to plant his seed on the game and grab a goal, but it looked like he was doing a good gardening job of killing a few weeds within the circle he had bean running around in. All up, a weedy performance by leeds and Blackpool on a pitch that looked like a Putt Putt golf course and an outdoor obstacle course from my Army days. The Leeds seeds didn't flower too well against a weedy blackpool team and performances weren't helped by both teams playing on a lookalike rock garden, although we could've done better had the team brought their golf clubs with'em. Final score 1-1.
Unlucky on the result, in the end just not enough to get the championship, and it still screwed your bet.
Well you may joke but at least Moro trys, unlike the lazy sulking I've a divine right to be picked eytie and the can't head the ball afraid to get stuck in striker. But what do I know compared to all the amateur coaches on here..
Cannot believe nobody predicted the 1-1 draw. Normally there's an influx of votes after the result. I know who you are....
What sort of cnut would do that? Is it right that Mike pulls that stunt and still gets the score right?
Show me where I said I rated moro above anyone, you're as argumentative as Glory. I've said I don't even rate him as a striker. If you like our eytie striker that's just your opinion. I've supported this team since 1970 and travelled over since 1980, so I think I know a lot about the club, you may be right about not knowing about the coaching side of things, but I've never given a **** about that. Why can't you just respect other supporters opinions without being overly aggressive.
