I find the club's official moaning very tiresome and quite embarrassing at times. Yes we have been hard done by, but worry more about lowering ticket prices or something.

With that said, if the pressure from the club leads to a review on technology to aod the referees then I don't think anyone can complain.

Technology review has to happen. At least the goal line thing has been brought in which is great news. But refs need help with some of the bigger key decisions. Most incidents could be resolved in seconds. Though what would then talk about?! ;)

We could talk about how crap Mikel is or why Jose isn't rotating his players...

Is there anything more frustrating in life than when chasing a goal, Mikel lines up a shot from outside the box?

Maybe one day one will fly in.....

Yeah you don't hear QPR crying and they are in real trouble, denied to stone wall penos v Spurs alone. Every club gets denied 10 debatable peno appeals a season

Chelsea list off the not givens and don't even consider if the ref could actually see the foul, they make out it is a compspiracy ffs.
Then there are bad calls, which are abundant in one week of games let alone a season to date.

We also can remember plenty of penos Chelsea got that they didn't deserve, the club I am sure isn't aware of any of those <laugh>

What is important in this context and the club conveniently leave out is Chelsea players have been flip flopping all over the shop which makes it tough for refs. It's all good to deny say a Suarez for a legit peno cos, he brings it on himself or it's his own fault for being divey, but when the Oscar and his diving team bring the team a bad reputation, it's all the media's fault #conspiracy<laugh> #campaign

Oscar's shameful antics in the CL v PSG were the epitome of everything wrong in this modern game

I'm with you on this one Sisu. We didn't even need the Costa pen when we smashed you lot in the semi.

I would gladly sacrifice the 7 or 8 nailed on pens and another dozen on top just to relive a few wonderful Ba vs Liverpool.gif moments in our non history.

Refs need help and should be criticised so they get so fed up they cry out for help too. Fans and media have started the pressure but the will to change has to come from the inside. Bans and fines for criticising the refs while based in a real need to maintain respect have been often misused to stifle genuine grievances. So now there is a contempt for the FA generated from their own high handed blanket form of regulation. Every club should be whinging. Whinge United for the title.

What does hamper real progress is when fans use their rivalry to dismiss another team's claims when then feel hard done by. The FA love that, instant support for dodgy reffing. Swings and roundabouts they say. Well you can stop the roundabout and swinging (think of the diseases you can catch!) with a firm hand. There has never been a fan anywhere who at one time hasn't cried 'We Woz Robbed'.

So stop finger pointing at past episodes of whingery and hard done bys and start cooperating together to make our sport better. I'm guessing it'll never happen, and the FA, UEFA and FIFA are banking on it.

it will never happen, and the reason is because football is fixed and once replays are brought in for decisions they have lost their grip on their game

I'm afraid it only brings home the fact that you cannot rely on officials to do our work for us - if we could improve on our finishing in the last third which has been an issue in recent games then we can put the penalty controversy to bed.

Which is what I've said for a number of years now. By simply refusing to change the football authorities lead us to suspect fixing. Why else deliberately hamper a way to remove errors?

I do have one other possible reason. The game is now in the grip of television/media, so much so that the fixtures are now dictated by it (sod the travelling fans). I've said it before but here we go again, conflict equals drama, drama equals viewers/readers. Debatable decisions provide lots of drama post match. No online forum would thrive if there were no debates, not many newspaper stories about whining managers, no players tweeting about the injustices, no fans showing up or watching games baying for revenge, reduced atmosphere.

When the Premier League was being formed the initial owners seriously considered allowing fans into games for free, purely to provide atmosphere for television. They knew back then they wouldn't need the money. You bet your life the clubs outside the Prem fought against that one, and of course the marketing men who knew the value of the game to the punters and instead convinced the clubs to rack up the prices.

Last thing on this post. Revenue from gambling is possibly more lucrative than the game itself. Again from the BBC...
How much is the sports betting industry worth?
"The current estimations, which include both the illegal markets and the legal markets, suggest the sports match-betting industry is worth anywhere between $700bn and $1tn (£435bn to £625bn) a year," says Darren Small, director of integrity at betting and sports data analysts Sportradar. About 70% of that trade has been estimated to come from trading on football.

People don't just want to fix games with that much money floating around, they will kill for it.

I always found the best way to have a moan and achieve something was to do it with humour.
1000% correct !!! It's all about getting the fix in for the betting odds. Always has been always will be.
