The Gunners have a sumptuous banquet of attacking delights. Olivier Giroud has netted eight in his last 11 games to take his tally to 15 this season at 108 minutes per goal. Only Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Alexandre Lacazette of Lyon and Alexander Meier of Eintracht Frankfurt have better ratios in Europe's major leagues. Nice little stat from the bbc article on the game.
Arsenal have had 15 different Premier League goalscorers this season - more than any other side - while their total in all competitions is 21. And another interesting one.
Another interesting fact - "Oliver giroud has the finest bouffant In all of Europe and is already signed up by Loriel"
Seriously tho, giroud has some seriously impressive stats, now if we can sort out the defence and defensive midfield then we'll be looking really good
Any reason given? I hope he hasn't picked up an injury... He's been one of our most useful players in 2015.
But you need to take into account that this is their 3rd flight in less than a week, flying takes it toll on you, whether you fly luxury or not, it's bloody science! Your body isn't supposed to be going that high in the air, especially sitting in some damn container as well. These articles do a good job of explaining the negative side effects flying does to your body: http://www.morebusiness.com/running_your_business/businessbits/d922729357.brc http://www.femside.com/health/mind-body/flying-can-affect-your-health/
ozil out through illness. ospina, chambers, gabriel, koscielny, monreal, coquelin, ramsey, cazorla, alexis, welbeck, giroud
santis been a bit quieter in recent games. with ozil out this is his game to control and his time to shine.
Would have rest alexis and played Theo. Full strength team should be enough for newcastle. Lets see. Also anyone got any good ace stream links??
The vast majority of negative effects from flying are countered by drinking a bottle of water on each flight. If you're going on long flights get up and stretch your legs at some point. Other than that there is nothing to worry about. They'd have to be flying a LOT more for the possibility of any real negative effect on there health or fitness. The process of travelling to the airport, going through security, getting to your destination and settling into accommodation your not used to is tiring and this is the only thing that you'd expect to effect the players. Making sure things are done at reasonable times and getting to the destination early enough to feel settled for the night should be a reasonable way to deal with these possible issues. Players who struggle to feel comfortable staying away from home would be more of an issue than the flying would which in itself isn't a problem at all. But given these players travel a lot and lots are from foreign leagues you'd expect most to be used to it.
Ozils been quality and will be a miss, it also means it was more difficult for wenger to rest Sanchez. Team looks strong enough to get the three points though!
