Any indication on their opinion on the goings on here, not just Airco, but the succession of PR **** up after PR **** up? Do you reckon they'll be looking on at the goings on at our Club and wondering if they need to protect their image and use the rules to try to help us out of their league? Or is that just paranoia?
Frankly DMD I don't think they could care less. As long as the stadium loos nearly full for every home match they couldn't care less. Its sells it to Sky. I also don't think they would be at all concerned if we went down so that it got our chairman out of their hair..
You can't help but get paranoid about these things when we get soo many terrible refereeing decisions against us nearly every game.
In the gran scheme of things, other clubs have had far worse owners than us (assuming you're the sort of shallow minded nobber that thinks our owner is bad), and they've never ever cared. Why would they? Publicity, whatever type, sells. Whatever our, or any other owner does, will not affect their bottom line so yeah, they won't give 1 ****.
I think your argument works up to a point 'Appy; PL clubs won't give a **** until either the bubble bursts, or worse, their team is relegated - Mr Tan at Cardiff soon back-tracked on his more harebrained schemes when he realised that the income from his fans suddenly shot up from 6 or 7% to more than 60% ................ the bottom line isn't so clever when you're in The Championship or L1.
The question was about the Premier League, which was who my reply was based around. Every club has its own problems, wrangles, protests etc. To each club and its fans, it seems the biggest thing in the world and they all worry about what the other clubs fans think, which is funny because most fans dont really think about other clubs til they play them, then theres some terrace banter and after 90 mins, its forgotten in readiness for the next game/team.
