From the OWS re Liverpool tickets...

Please note that the date for this fixture (currently Saturday 18th April) is subject to change due to Liverpool’s involvement in the FA Cup, and we will provide more information at the first opportunity. Refunds will not be available should the date of the fixture change.

£50 a pop and if it switches to midweek you can't get a refund.

I'm not sure that's even legal.

We don't half do some daft ****. <doh>

The Liverpool fans are obviously well pissed off with this, not only are we charging them £50, but if it switches to midweek and they can't make it, they're screwed.

I see from their tweets, that they used their ASI money to reduce ticket prices for every single away game this season, as requested by their fans.

In case anyone was wondering, the information on what's happening with our elusive ASI money(that we were promised details of today), hasn't materialised.

See your point but not really the case for Liverpool as they could sell it on to hundreds of potential takers.

    From "Which" website.

When you can get a refund on tickets
If the event you have booked is cancelled, rescheduled or has changed location, you are entitled to a refund of at least the face value of the ticket. If the face value has been reduced by the organiser, the refund will be for the discounted face value price paid.

If an event is rescheduled to another date, your tickets should be valid. If you can't make the rescheduled date, then you're entitled to a full refund.

The ticket seller is responsible for giving you your refund for tickets to a cancelled event.

    Story from the Guardian

Clubs told they must refund tickets when matches postponed
    • Refunds if games postponed because of weather or TV
    • Move follows complaints from Tottenham fans

Football clubs have been told that they must offer disappointed fans the option of ticket refunds when matches are postponed because of the weather or television commitments.

The Office of Fair Trading madeTottenham Hotspur remove conditions that "tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged under any circumstances" from its website following complaints from supporters. The consumer watchdog also asked the football associations of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland to remind all member clubs to make sure ticketing conditions comply with the law.

The OFT considered Spurs were probably breaking consumer contracts regulations by "disadvantaging fans who purchased a ticket for a match that is subsequently postponed and who are unable to attend the rearranged date." It took action after fans complained to trading standards officials in Haringey, London, where the club has its stadium.

Mike Haley, director of consumer protection at the OFT, said Spurs had reacted responsibly to its approach by changing its terms and conditions to ensure they provided for full refunds in the case of rearranged matches. "When a consumer enters a contract to buy a ticket to a performance or match there is a clear date, location and time, and there may be any number of valid reasons why ticket-holders cannot attend on a rescheduled date."

The OFT added that the FA's own website stated that someone unable to attend a rearranged fixture should be entitled to a refund of the face value of the ticket and any booking fee and related charges. The OFT ruling, which does not affect season tickets, does however mean that, for instance, changes of league fixture dates when a club progresses in cup competitions should prompt refund offers.

Spurs said last night it had already started refunds and knew of less than 100 complaints and the number of refunds it had made to date amounted to less than 1% of the overall attendance for matches.

The Football Association in England said it had passed on the OFT reminders to its member leagues and was not aware of concerns relating to any other clubs
    .

    From the FA

    5. Changes to Dates and Refunds
5.1. The FA does not guarantee that the Match will take place at a particular time or on a particular date. The FA reserves the right to reschedule any Match without notice.
5.2. In the event of the postponement of a Match before kick-off you will be entitled to free admission to any rearranged Match upon presentation of your Ticket.
5.3. In the event of the abandonment of a Match after kick-off you will be entitled to free admission to any rearranged Match upon presentation of your Ticket.
5.4. In the event that The FA is forced to hold a Match „behind closed doors‟ or the postponed or abandoned Match is: (i) not re-arranged; or (ii) a Ticket holder is unable to attend a rearranged Match, Ticket holders shall be entitled to a refund in accordance with The FA‟s Ticket Refund Policy, further details of which are available on www.TheFA.com.
5.5. The FA and/or Ground owner will have no further liability whatsoever, including (but notlimited to) any indirect or consequential loss or damage, loss of enjoyment or travel or accommodation costs.

THE FA’s TICKET REFUND POLICY When dealing with request for refunds for tickets to its matches The FA will apply the following policy and procedures. Refunds will not be provided in any other circumstances (including, without limitation, where a ticket holder is ejected from a Ground). 1. Postponement of Match before kick-off In the event of the postponement of a Match before you have entered the Ground, the Ticket will be valid for the rearranged playing of the Match. Where a Match is postponed after you have entered the Ground, but before the Match has kicked-off, entry to the Ground for the rearranged playing of the Match shall only be permitted on presentation of the Ticket and subject to compliance with any other arrangements announced by The FA at the time. A person unable to attend the rearranged playing of the Match shall be entitled to a refund of the face value of Ticket (including any booking fee and related transaction charge). The procedure for obtaining such a refund is set out in paragraph 5 below.

Pissing off everybody & setting himself up to be challenged again again. The FA must be ecstatic. The man's a "grade A" cock.

Let me get this right, some of you ****tards think the decision about the ticket prices, and the decision about refunds is made by Dr Allam himself?

    <laugh>

Admit it, you think he's sat in his underground bunker, surrounded by screens with skysports on, concentrating 100% on how to **** the citizens of Hull over, micro managing the entire football club and plotting on how he can defeat HCC.

    <laugh>

The rules about refunds are made by the FA. The decision to ignore the rules has been made by the club, which is led by AA.

Who's decision do you think it was? Bare in mind that nobody else can tell him how to run his business.

Nothing surprises me with Allam anymore.
Time after time he pi**es fans off with his crazy actions.

When you work it all out, football fans( I include myself in this) must be the most deluded people on the planet.
We willingly bow down to every decision made by SKY, Allam, The FA, UEFA to follow our team.
Is there any other industry that treats it's customers like **** and gets away with it.

It will be very interesting to see how many renew their passes for next season.

I wonder at what level in the club this decision was made then , I get the impression Ehab at least has day to day control of things , It would be quite a big decision for somebody who just works in the ticket office for example

Nobody mentioned Allam until you did, I just posted the thread because I thought it was a poor move by the club.

You're now so far up his arse that you're defending him when he's not even being accused of anything. <doh>

Liverpool will have sold out their tickets long before the FA Cup game, if their lads don't buy a ticket in advance, they won't get one at all.
