No it's really not. He wasn't hurt at all, and he rolled half the length of the pitch, but only after a delay when he realised he coule get someone sent off.

Elmo cheats sometimes and it's not on I've hardly ever seen Mahrez play but when I have he seems one of the worst for it. I keep harping on about it he won the penalty that relegated Doncaster on goal difference with a shambolic dive.

Mahrez doesn't dive, if you watch the Donny pen again watch the defender's who fouled him reaction, he knew he caught him. Bruce hit Mahrez quite hard and Mahrez is a small lad so its going to hurt him.

The ref and the FA thought you was over aggressive last week thats why you got so many bookings and the charge. Bruce is defending his team which is his job by trying to deflect blame from his team.

We weren't aggressive at all. There wasn't a bad tackle in the game.

In the refs eyes you was, I said IMO the Bruce tackle was a hard but fair tackle which shouldn't have been a foul but nowadays they will always be pulled up by the refs which is a shame.

The Dawson and Bruce cards were a travesty.

A travesty that's being compounded by this ridiculous FA charge.

Dawson one I didn't think was a foul at the time and haven't seen a replay so I can't comment too much. His reaction afterwards though could have got him sent off, you know what refs are like

The Bruce one was a hard fair tackle which at the time I thought was 2 footed hence the reaction of the your players and the ref. I don't understand how the ref gave him a booking. It was either a hard fair tackle (which i think it was) or it was reckless and he should of got sent off. So to book him for it is strange IMO

Maybe you should be more concerned about the crap refs then rather than honest tackles

I don't think a manager should be slating their own players publicly, thats a sure fire way to lose the dressing room.

There was a clip on here not long ago where Bruce berates a player for wearing a hat! I have no doubt at all that he will discipline players for poor behaviour, but it will be done in private. As it should be done.

Post match interview after the handball in the Newcastle game -“Thankfully the linesman and the referee, they got it right. For however much we’re struggling, we don’t want to be seeing goals scored like that.“

Don't know if this has been mentioned on this thread but the reason Mahrez is being highlighted is because it's the most recent incident, add to this going into the Chelski game, where at Stamford Bridge they had been taking lessons from the Olympic Diving Team, it's good timing!

I don't get the point of this thread whatsoever? Because one of our players has dove and done some stuff we shouldn't shed light on the fact that it happens all the time. Every team has people who do it, but we can't talk about it because we'd be being hypocritical? Give over.

Elmo dives and rolls about and i'm the first one to give him **** about it, and if your player does the same and then surrounds the ref to try and get our lad booked i'm going to give him **** n'all. And i'm glad Brucey is defending his players when they're wrongfully booked for one of the better tackles we're going to see this year as the FA attempt to stop any sort of physicality in this clusterfuck of a league.

a 0-6 booking count in a match with barely any bad tackles indicates something was amiss. whether the ref had been paid off with a van load of crisps or what i don't lnow.

Honestly? Elmo does sometimes roll around, but I genuinely think that Steve Bruce is one of the more honest managers around and he encourages the same of his players, sometimes to the detriment of the team gaining decisions from the referee. How on earth we got charged for the Leicester game when you have the likes of Chelsea continually harassing the ref and managers like Allardyce or one-eyed Wenger seemingly never seeing any offence committed by their own players is beyond me. For example, I don't think I have seen one of our players going around waving imaginary cards at the ref.....we almost always just get on with it, despite being on the receiving end of some shocking penalty calls, bookings etc this season. Of all the targets you could have picked for their hypocrisy, Bruce has got to be one of the least likely candidates in the whole of the Premier League.

But he is an ex Slumberland manager along with Elmo being their ex player. Coincidence? I don't think so. Sad? Definitely.
