Gotta vote super, must be one that suits you more than the others?

Looking to me like tories may edge but will they have enough for a majority? Unsure. Interesting election.

Completely the wrong attiude! You should vote for the change you want, not the most comfortable decision! Whether you're being sarcastic or what, I dunno, but that the exact idea that stops real change from happening. Just constantly giving over your control to them because they "Appear the nicest" or they're "The most electable"! Utter Tosh! If everyone actually voted for something they believed in we wouldn't be in this mess! The Tories are just using the NHS as a cover for everything else they're going to privatize and sell off because they've seen how successful it's been for all the rich great bastards in america!

How exactly are the Tory policies working?! You can't just back out of a debate saying that without explaining it! It smacks of someone who knows it's not the right idea but can't be bothered to challenge for the right idea! Sorry, I'm coming across very agressively but I really think you have the completely wrong attaitude towards politics. It is one of the most important things people should be passionately invested in as it is what currently shapes everyone's future. Even if you don't have as long as others left or what ever else you think, we should all be working towards a more inclussive, better planet and the Tories just don't want that. They want bigger divide. Ever increasing debt so that the few at the top can continue to get ridiculously fat and everyone else can just struggle under the guise of happiness!

I posted on here about the Zeitgeist movement the other day, I URGE everyone to watch some of their stuff, then come back and say the Tories are the best way to get there!
Here is their Youtube page, Please, please please watch and really think about it, this goes the same to everyone on here! https://www.youtube.com/user/TZMOfficialChannel

[Aditional] I actually don't trust any party, Labour seem to be weak to everything, unfortunately the LibDems have lost all confidence because people thought them going into a majority tory coalition would actually cause a huge difference, and in one fell swoop they destroy the major LibDem backing, the students. I'm a green advocate because they are the only ones that talk about 30 years in the future, not just 5 or 10 and because Global warming is something that has been pushed aside for the last 30-40 years at least and is now becoming even more of a major issue. The Major issue in fact, that everyone still seems to be ignoring.

I think about this a lot so this is me venting a little. I just hope that in showing people some of this they will have a real think about what's happening. Maybe even share it with others and get something going among their friends and family. It's too late for token gestures, we need some proper change!

This is the correct way to look at it, right up until the end! If everyone who thought like you voted for the LibDems, or to a more progressive point, the greens, then we would probably have a rocky few years while we transition to a whole new outlook, but at least we'd be moving in the right direction. It takes poeple making a fuss about it to get change done!

Rather than not vote, try voting green. It's almost the same in most people's eyes and every vote is appreciated! :emoticon-0148-yes:

You've been taken in mate. To begin with Labour has nothing to do with Socialism. I had a customer a Romanian pharmacist and she lived under one of the Socialist regimes with the worst reputations. She says it was better under Socialism than it is now. The Tories rule for the few. If you earn a salary of £150k or more you might be better off financially. The world economy was ****ed by those with a Tory outlook..bankers. Tell the 2 million on zero hours contracts that Tory policies are working,or the woman on the wireless earlier this week whose son was killed in a road accident and is now losing her house due to the bedroom tax. They are truly despicable people who have milked the country for all that it is worth and are now desperate to hang on to it. I say all this as a retired businessman of nearly 40 years experience.

What I don't get is the constant chase for more money, status and goods. I have a nice house and a decent car. I eat what I like but the last three months that has largely been baked spuds and salad because I have been dieting. I have three pairs of shoes, three pairs of trousers and, most importantly my 1970's Dave Bedford style swimming shorts. A second hand £80 Acer tablet. A £9.99 mobile phone and a £5 per month giff gaff pack. No contents insurance as I have nothing worth nicking. I don't lock my doors at night for the same reason. If a burglar finds me he's already lost. It's blissfully quiet day and night. I spend about £50 a week and I am happy. Why on earth would I want to vote Tory?

In fairness towards Labour they try to look after the NHS but that is it, the major problem is they create thousands of multi levelled public sector jobs, in my opinion Labour can harp about minimum wage but they have no interest in looking after people who work in the private sector, their main concern is public sector workers and that is not counting the thousands of top end council workers who retired with golden pensions back when they were in power, people forget to mention that when they talk about cuts.

Tony Blair led us into two wars which cost the tax payer billions, one of which is still causing serious problems in the middle east and has further destabilised other countries in region, the mans a war criminal. Once the recession well truly kicked off Blair let Gordon Brown sell off our gold reserves and allowed him to become his fall guy.

A lot of my friends are ardent Labour supporters, I would describe the most vocal and tenacious of the bunch as Champagne Socialists, they've never had to endure any hardship in their lives, they live in nice little suburbs or upmarket townhouses they've never had to live next door to feral people who live off state handouts and get rewarded for being irresponsible in every aspect of their life.

Personally the things I'll be considering this election are:

Under Labour I've been unemployed, faced redundancy, had four years of pay freezes, lived in rented accommodation.
Under this government I've brought my own house, had three salary raises and three bonuses.

You've been lucky. It's nothing to do with The Tories. In 1986 I bought a house that doubled in value in 18months and a redundant filling station that turned into a booming business within two years. It had nothing to do with the Government,it was a combination of business skill and luck,I really have no idea in what proportion. As for the Middle East I seem to remember little over a year back Cameron wanting to attack Syria on the side of IS. That Arab Spring has gone really well hasn't it? And I don't see how you have had four years of pay freezes. Labour only left office in may 2010.

Governments are supposed to be by the people and for the people. The biggest success of recent capitalism is to make everyone think they have no power of influence. Making it even easier for money to influence policies and sway opinion. And the Media helps by distracting people with celebrities and saying "You could be one too, maybe" It's created lethargy and a lack of desire for improvements. So often I hear "Well I'm comfortable and that's all that matters"! Where's the empathy for other people? Where's the recognition that we could all help each other to better lives?! We live in a world that could provide happily for about 12 billion humans indefinitely but currently we have 3 billion or so over consuming to the point that most natural resources will diminish in the next 50-100 years while 4.5 billion people starve, or are in wars over religion or are working practically as slaves in places like China.

I believe in a future that doesn't have countries or borders or boundaries. And it's not a future that is achieved by voting for the Tories or Labour (Or even the greens, probably, they're just the closest I'm gunna get at the moment!) I also believe in a future where all HUMANS get the chance at a good life with at least the basics such as Water, food, Health care and Education. I probably wont see it in my lifetime but it doesn't make me want to fight for it any less!
