Juventus built their own stadium recently and left the council owned one. Something other clubs are considering.
As you said, Juventus are popular all over Italy, though not so much in Turin. They threatened to move out of Turin some time ago in a row about rents. They played a game in Bologna, which was a complete sell out, to make a point.

Yep, they're the best supported team in every city except Florence, Rome and - bizarrely - Turin. Yes more people in Milan support Juve than they do Inter or Milan. In a previous UEFA cup campaign they were getting fewer than 5k crowds in Turin so they moved a game to Milan and had an 80k plus total sell out.

Always enjoyed the fact that in Florence there is so Juventus supporters club because evert time they opened one the Fiorentinafans burnt it down. I like the contrast between the city, a centre of culture (proper culture) and its maniac fans. Maybe we could see how they generate such an atmosphere in a ground with no rooves and the worst sight lines of any major stadium with enormous gaps between the goal. lines and the terraces.

I always felt that despite his arrogance things would get sorted, and he would act with some grace with the FA etc. But the arena evictions and the whole attitude to grass roots sports as a result leaves a bitter taste. I never want think of my club being a bully and steamrolling its way around the city. It's not what we are about and its not what I want to be associated with. Luckily most people see beyond the club and see its all down to one man. I've never met Ehab Allam but I wonder if he has a permanent hand prints on his face from where he held his head in his hands...

We cannot allow the club to dictate to supporters. It's like our prayers were answered in our darkest hours 5 years ago but we inadvertently sold our soul to the devil!

The reality is he has loaned the club money and charging a very healthy rate of interest , the sooner he ****s off the better Allam out !

I would 100% much rather be in Portsmouth's position than ours.

A club owned by the fans, ran for the fans with the fans best interests at its core and zero club debt is a beautiful thing. Maybe you like shiny Premier League football and a chairman who is an embarrassment on an almost daily basis, calls fans irrelevant and that they can die when they want whilst making money on his personal loan to the club as a huge debt is run up. Each to their own. Whereas me I'm jealous of Pompey every single day.

If I save someone from drowning it doesn't give me the right to beat them up and rob them.

Well go and follow Portsmouth....No one is stopping you.

In an ideal world all clubs would be owned by the fans. Trouble is the world is not ideal. Unless your fans are oligarchs or rich Arabs, the fans don't have a brass farthing to rub together. Which is why Portsmouth, for example, will never get out of the **** they're in..The **** we would be in if AA had not put in his dough...
He's not great, I give you that, but for him our next game would have been v. Accrington, not Chelsea.. Be careful of what you wish for..

I dont need to be careful, I 100% make no bones about the fact I'd rather we owned Hull City than that disgrace of a man and if that meant we were playing Accrington this weekend then so be it. I want to watch Hull City and not be derided by our owner for doing that. I dont care who they play against, I'm there to watch my team. Are you going to watch Chelsea or us? And there wasnt a single season in the bottom division that was more soul destroying than this season.

Are you going to watch Chelsea or us? What kind of a question is that....? I'll tell you a very childish one.

And there wasnt a single season in the bottom division that was more soul destroying than this season......

I wish for a chairman who consults fans before making any major decision, is this too much to ask?

Add Melton /( or Ferriby) & there's the vision ... 'Melton ALLme Marine Tigers 2015 (ERYC)'

a number of years ago a 'saviour' prevented me from being 'homeless' - it's called a mortgage & they make interest / charges & money out of it ...

unlike our 'benevolent saviour' - I've not been asked to change my name, had continual changes at short notice (moved from east to north) & my custom seems valued ...

I want a chairman with a massive ego
I want a chairman who lies, repeatedly
I want a chairman who insults the fans
I want a chairman who 'saves' the club by saddling it with massive debts - debts which earn him very substantial interest
I want a chairman who pretends to do all for the community, when it is obvious he does things to further his own self-importance
I want a chairman who spuriously demands to be referred to by an honourable title
I want a chairman who is shackled by his own stupidity
I want a chairman with an unchallengeable CV

Why am I asking for these qualities? All my wants have been met.....<doh>
