Like Groundhog day this. I'm sure even the OSC voted in favour of "no to hull tigers" last time. I can see that changing though- the spineless twats. What an awful organisation.
Seeing as it says Hull City Official Supporters Cub on the badge at the top of the statement and it is headed Press Statement from TheOfficial Hull City Supporters Club I would say they haven't forgotten. But we aren't all as observant as an eagle eyed future member of the fourth estate.

They've already said it was ****, unprofessional, lacking in any business acumen & devoid of any meaningful supporter consultation. Hull City's lawyers are in talks with the Football Association as the Premier League club seeks to conclude a bid to change its name to Hull Tigers. The FA Council's decision to reject the club's initial application was set aside on Monday. Hull were told they could bid again for a name change next season; the FA want that bid submitted before 1 April. Hull believe their original application should be reconsidered following the findings of the arbitration panel. The club therefore do not intend to go through the process for a second time. In turn, the FA are adamant they have nothing to consider until a second bid is lodged and are of the belief that the arbitration panel's verdict effectively annuls the original process. The Premier League club's legal team are now attempting to resolve the impasse after they were told they would need to re-apply in the next fortnight if they want the case to be considered for the 2015-16 season. Hull owner Assem Allam has put the club up for sale and that will remain the case unless he is successful in his attempt to alter the club's name to Hull Tigers.
I'm not sure where I stand on name changing, if it actually brings in money it's a good-thing, Hull Tigers isn't that bad considering your nick-name is The tigers already, and there are plenty of teams (including my own) which have had their names changed in the past. That said your name change opens up the spectre of teams changing their names with their sponsors, which I don't like at all, it's already happening to the stadiums, if your name change goes through I can see that starting to happen.
Hull City Tigers is really bad. Just like West Bromwich Albion Baggies would be, or Stoke City Potters, or any other possible combination of proper name and nickname.
Hull Tigers is far better than either of those examples by a country mile, although, to quote Keegan "I would love it, absolutely love it" if WBA became the WBA baggies.
And that is the reason I could never just agree to it happening. It's not just a name change on an old man's whim, it is setting a precedent that will affect the whole of English football. No club will be safe. Before we know it there will be no Hulls or Stokes or Portsmouths - Allam Marine Tigers will be lining up against the Airbus Wildcats - and why not - because money is all that counts. If we like our game as it is - this has to be stopped, and we need proper leadership from the FA to ensure that things such as names and club colours are protected.
I think you have clearly missed the point. There has been no proof, of any description, that it will make any more money by changing the name. As you are from Londonish and say your team changed it's name I assume, rightly or wrongly, that is Arsenal. I think that was in the 1920's or so, and that would be of no relevance in today's environment.
it would probably be the Hammers, Irons is a throwback to our previous name The Thameside Iron Works Football club. I don't know how much of a furore the supporters caused when the name changed, not much I doubt, although the reason for hat is fairly obvious. The thing is change doesn't bother me, what's in a name? It was mooted that we change our name to West Ham Olympic half-heartedly when we 'won' the Olympic stadium move, it didn't really bother me and wouldn't if they did it. At the end of the day if you do change your name feel safe in the knowledge that it'll only be temporary, new owners will want to appease the fans, changing the name back will be a lot cheaper than a £20m transfer kitty.
