Positioning and sense. Young will have to be ready for a sprint if Sterling gets by Blind. Hes quick enough and capable enough to cope. With you guys likely to go 343 then you will have wing backs I don't see to much issue.

I hope Mata starts and Di Maria comes on later when his pace will be more effective.

Mata will be better for the start as the game could well be tight and nervous. As it opens up Di Maria comes on.

So.. if facing fresh players Di Maria is not effective, have to wait until they tire a bit first? £59m eh <laugh>

Mata was great v Spurs and deserves to start. Di Maria would do what he does (create) regardless. Just think Mata deserves a start and with it likely to be nervy early on, a player like Mata will do better than a Di Maria. Later in the game you would expect more space. Imagine its 0-0 after an hour, Liverpool have run miles as they press continuously. Someone like Di Maria comes on. Not something your players would be looking forward too.

Meanwhile you bring on Balotelli or Lambert.... <whistle>

    You need to score early.

You will need to get the ball off them.

  7. Why would we run miles to press when we have possession?

High pressing game playing on the counter would do very well against us tbh. Hope you dont play like that.

You're having a laugh mate, this outlook of yours is based entirely on the game v Spurs. Your midfield has been wasteful and performed poorly under pressure all season, gone missing in defensive duties and showed very little creativity.

The silver lining for you lot has been the great form of De Gea, he's been the difference between 4th and 8th. Well him and having Moyes men and tactics to fall back on

This manic optimism from you reminds me of when Giggs managed his first game on his own last season. "We're BACKKKKKKK" <laugh> #fear

The reality is you blew an 8 point lead on us, the question now is will you finish the job and do the proper thing and lose come Sunday.

It will be doing you a favour, if van Gaal flops the Real manager is interested, might bring Bale with him.<whistle>
