When I was attending food shows with an old business I had, there was a guy selling these. He would do the potato twirly thing and then fry them... my wife and kids assure me they were devine. I never purchased one though.

I can only believe that modern society has disconnected them from real life. What I mean is, is that a diet of Computer games, Hollywood TV & Film violence and arranged stunts have helped to stop that all important bottom line that a person's life is far more important than their entertainment. I know it doesn't affect the majority of people, but that majority retain a clear divide between real and imaginary. Some people don't however, in my opinion, until the events make it too late, or possibly they never, ever do. And these people are not sick or abnormal, they have just never been given the lessons to acquire a moral compass.
That and this disgusted me. Sick revellers took photos of a teenager as he died from stab wounds outside a nightclub and posted them on SnapChat, it's been claimed.
