    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...oets-16-hangs-disappointing-exam-results.html

My best mate is in the same year in the same school as him. Its sad to see someone this young die and when it is someone who is my age living near me, its even sadder.

Also, theres another part to this story - surely he can't have had bad results as results day isn't until August - I hope there isn't some sub plot

    More sad news

Best local club when I was younger. Really really sad. Also with the player who also killed himself earlier in the year - dale roberts - It is a really bad year if you support R & Ds then.

Its not sad at all, what is sad is when people die at that age through no choice of there own and have went through years of suffering from disease or illness. Killing yourself is such a selfish thing to do and its the friends and families that suffer because of it.

What if you kill yourself because you have no friends and family? Would you consider that to be sad?

Yeah all those people who are seriously depressed through years of phisical or sexual abuse or years of mental disability are real tossers when they cant take it anymore, not everything is black and white you know.

I agree fair enough with people in those circumstances it must be very hard for them as they can't just forget about the horrible things that have happened to them, but when you see articles like this saying that they were well liked and such and that they killed themselves because of failing exams it gets at you don't you think? when you think about alot of people would love to have the life he had going to a very expensive school living a comfortable lifestyle and he goes and throws it all away and caused alot of people harm. I have seen family members and close friends grow up with terminal illnesses and have seen what they have went through, I also know people who have killed themselves and I saw a girl try to hang herself when I was young. Don't judge me on my last comment please and I admit that I was a bit harsh.

but the thing is he wouldn't have got his exam results yet so there must have been some external source of depression.

If he sat exams in January he would of had them back by now and If he then feels like he has done bad in his may/june exams that could lead to him thinking that hes going to get poor results. There could be a source of depression from being bullied at his previous school but surely once your and a new school and have friends you should be optimistic about your future unless you perform poorly in important exams.

  8. That's extremely insensitive and ignorant. Ok, although i agree bad exam results doesn't seem like a good reason to kill yourself, you never know how different things effect different people with different mental structures to our own.

What about the people that commit suicide because they've been raped or their family has been killed and they are ****ed up seriously in head because of it, or the people in agonizing pain that can't live with it and need to end it?

    Please apologize for that comment.

Terrible thing to hear, but if it was just over exam results than it's a horrible thing to do for everyone who loves you.

Tash even taking the moral high ground <yikes>

It's an incredibly tragic situation but I agree it's unlikely exam results were the sole reason for it (though I'm not at a private school and my parents, presumably with high expectations, aren't paying thousands for my education).

I agree with Tash, it's so ignorant to dismiss suicide as selfish when you don't understand the mindset of someone who even considers it - you can't even imagine how lonely and depressed someone might feel to do such an act.

    RIP

read my other comment you racist piece of dirt, **** off you can't call me insensitive when you said you bled black and white when applying for a job that deals patients that attempted to kill themselves and I have already said that my comment was a bit harsh and I know of someone who has killed themselves because of pain and you only need to take one look at his family now to see that it was a selfish thing to do. I have my reasons for believing in what I said and nothing that anyone can say to me will change my opinion especially you of all the people.

I have stuck up for him before and im not just having ago at him because hes tash, but he complains when people don't read all of his articles yet he reads my first comment and has ago at me straight away before reading my second comment which supports half of what he said to me. I was shell shocked when he called me insensitive after all the **** he comes out with.
