Do you think Celtic should appoint fan representative to non-executive board level just like Hearts, Motherwell and Rangers or would you prefer it remained as it is - ran by professional businessmen? http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/come-board-how-fan-power-5311429 I think Celtic should set up a fans working group with representatives from the major supports clubs who meet quarterly and feedback to the board but I don't think there is a specific need for a fan representative at non-executive board level.
Naw, our fans are by and large agenda driven spastics as evidenced by everything ever posted on here: http://www.thecsa.co.uk/ Celtic are a publicly traded company, if you're a fan and want to make your opinion valid & noted then buy shares and attend the AGM.
Thing is, it's a business. What power does Wee John-Paul wield when it always comes down to money? Plus, if you give these spastics an inch, they'll inevitably take it a mile. Imagine having Celtic versions of Chris Graham, Dingwall etc on the board pretending to speak for you, me, and every other Celtic fan who isn't a mongoloid halfwit? The only way it'd ever happen is if Big Pedro and Desmond decided that any suggestions put forth would be vetoed and a fan rep would be purely for show - and then there's no point.
Rangers board member Chris Graham accused of Tweeting sexually explicit cartoon of the Prophet Mohammed THE image appears to have been sent by Chris Graham to the Islamist preacher Anjem Choudary on the day of the Charlie Hebdo attack. A RANGERS board member has been accused of Tweeting a sexually explicit cartoon of the Prophet Mohammed. The image appears to have been sent by Chris Graham to the Islamist preacher Anjem Choudary on the day of the Charlie Hebdo attack. Mibbes no.
Stv yet to comment on Racist homophobe represents Sevco fans at board level... But remember Celtic fans had a FLARE!!!!!!!
The vast majority of fans are not members of supporters groups and would still not be represented so it would achieve nothing. I don't think we have a problem with the us and them relationship. A fans rep has the potential for major embarrassment and our fan base is not like Rangers we all have our own minds and will disagree on issues we need about 400 reps and its just not workable.
A fan on the board is just a stupid little gesture that a very small number of fans think it would be useful. i know we wouldn't have Celtic version of Chris Graham, as he is a one off but it shows the depths a sly blazened face liar will go to get the fans behind the board, or at least what King thought was wanted. Good for them King and Murray are now not the only people on the Rangers Board fit for purpose. Maybe If Celtic could extend JP Taylor Supporters Liaison Officer role to a more visible role with definite power we would have someone o make suggestions to and someone who would listen to fans who felt they had something to say.
As has been said it's a waste of time having a "Fan" on the board, it's gesture politics of a type only idiots fall for.
I guess it could be done, maybe not a fan on the board but a representative chosen by season ticket holders...but as we are a profit driven soulless machine it'd be pointless
If any of us make it into the Celtic boardroom PM me to delete your not606 history before some Daily Record **** comes Googling xx
We dont need fan representation at board level. Leave the board room stuff to the professionals. I dont want some moron their going on about the price of pies at a board meeting.
