Yep - you're right. It don't count. Still'n'all - I really loved his stuff. I saw him at the Isle of Wight Festival (1968?). If I remember right, I did the 'RIP' when he popped his clogs. This is my favourite of his:
Edwin Starr sang at Curtis Woodhouse's dad's wedding. Was at his funeral as well along with Dave Collins of Dave and Ansell Collins.
OK .......... Midlands? (the NEC is B'ham (not f'ing Alabama either)) ......Music? (it is to my ears) ................ play it loud gentlemen, enjoy !
I meant to put he sang at Curtis's dad's wedding and was at his dad's twin brother's funeral. If you saw Curtis box he had a large tattoo on his back saying "RIP Carson" as a tribute to his uncle. His dad's twin brother was involved in music, DJ ing and an avid record collector. He knew Edwin Starr and Collins and through him Curtis's dad got to know him. Always used to put SOS by Edwin Starr on if I walked somewhere he was DJing as he knew it was a favourite of mine. Sadly he died a couple of years before his twin Curtis's dad did from the same causes.
