WISE words from our new manager from a new reporter at Archant by the name of Patrick Davitt - “My main task, my main job is to deal with the players and motivate them and prepare them on how they beat the opposition and their task is to go and carry it out,” he said. “I just feel if I have not fully prepared my team to go into a game they are well within their rights to say we didn’t know that was going to happen or that was a particular strength of the opposition." “My job is to win games. If I am not doing that then I am not doing my job and that goes for the players. I know it is difficult and I am not making out it is easy, but if we achieve the main goal at the end of the season and go up then I have achieved my goal. If we don’t I won’t be happy. I am here to get the team winning.”

You've got to admire him and what he's trying to instil in the players!!!!

More wise words from Mr Motivator - Neil views the only blemish on his Norwich record, the 2-1 league defeat to Brentford, as a catalyst for change.
“That gave me the opportunity to really put my stamp on things and since then we have grown,” he said. “The structure of the week is different, we work differently in terms of analysis and tactically now, even right down to how we are set up for corners and throws.”

Could be that we´ll be very grateful to Brentford, come the end of the season, JR :)

Some strong words in support of AN form Wes -
“He knows what he wants from the players and we have all thrived on that. If you don’t do it, then you don’t play. It’s as simple as that,” he said. “Against Wolves I didn’t play and he knew we needed stronger players and he is good tactically. You have to work hard, we probably weren’t working as hard before he came in and we are getting our rewards by being on a great run at the moment. He stamps his authority. There is no messing about. If you don’t play well he will take you off straight away.”

Also comments from AN himself -
“It doesn't matter what they do (the teams around us) because if we don’t do our job then it’s irrelevant. We have to take care of our business,” said Neil. “You might hope for a slip or two from the teams in and around you, but, for me, I think every game they play I expect them to win so it is a pleasant surprise if they don’t. That is the way it has been and will continue to be.
“We’ve as good a chance as anybody else around us. The top six or seven are all fighting for the same thing and if you start losing games you could find yourself out of the play-offs. That is how tight it is at the top of the table."

I do like this no nonsense kind of attutude but apparently he is also able to have a laugh with the players if appropriate. that makes a good basis in my opinion and the results have reflected that on the whole. Wigan is really the only blotch to me (I know we lost to Brentford but that was part of the early learning curve)
What I would add in conclusion is that if we re-played the last 12 matches I doubt that we woudl be able to match the points return.
