A cracking film, one of my all time favourites.A great adaptation of a classic book well acted filmed and directed and best of all the scrumptious Julie Christie.
That bastard Warren Beatty was two timing Julie Christie. My idea of perfection and the twat wasn't happy with just her. Apparently Jagger had a threesome with Bardot and another well known French actress. Jealous? Maybe just a bit...
It will be hard to top the original film version of Thomas Hardy's great novel, beautifully filmed and so evocative of rural England 150 years ago, and a brilliant cast with Christie at her peak, the wonderful Peter Finch as Squire Boldwood, Alan Bates a perfect Gabriel Oak, and Terence Stamp as the malignant Sergeant Troy. My all-time favourite movie. But I'll go watch the re-make.
