I didn't think he could do that- majestic! Pleased to see Apache run well in behind- that is a hell of a winner.
I can't win. I back the favourites and they lose, I don't back the favourites and they canter home. Vautour is possibly the most visually impressive winner so far this week.
So next year Willie will have: Douvan - Arkle Faugheen - Champion Hurdle Annie Power - Mares race Vautour - Ryanair Don Poli - Gold Cup Worth a Lucky 31 that one
I like Call The Cops in the next. Think Wishfull Thinking and At Fishers Cross (3 wins, 2 places in 5 runs at Cheltenham) are far too big in the Ryanair Chase and World Hurdle.
Balder Success has close form with Special Tiara, Dodging Bullets, Somersby and God's Won this season. That said his Cheltenham record is something like FPF.
14.05 Unique De Cotte @ 16/1 14.40 Eduard @ 20/1 15.20 Lieutenant Colonel @ 9/1 16 .00 Monetaire @ 8/1 16 .40 Champagne James @ 8/1
Awesome from Vautour. Now then Willie next year's gold cup, good luck with trying to convince the fat cat banker or the airline boss that the Ryannair is a prestigious race in it's own right . Coneygree's connections looking very perceptive now.
Performance of the week? Its up there with Master Minded, Denman, Sprinter Sacre. I know it was only a Novice race but ive never seen anything like that anywhere.
Agreed Eddie - awesome has been overused this week but it is the only word to describe that performance.
Stunning performance from Vautour - I was worried that he'd rediscover that Cheltenham run from last year and he did. But even though I backed Apache to win, I was pleased that he got second. Dawalan for me next - 14's a decent enough price for this one, and hopeful that Seven Barrows can get one with this lad
