Zlatan Ibrahimovic: 'I had Chelsea babies around me'

Chelsea's players acted like "babies" during the incident that led to Zlatan Ibrahimovic's red card on Wednesday, says the Paris St-Germain striker.

The Swede was sent off for a tackle on Oscar after 31 minutes but PSG survived the last hour of normal time and extra time to knock Chelsea out of the Champions League last 16 on away goals.

He said: "When I got the red card all the Chelsea players come around.

"It felt like I had a lot of babies around me."

Blues players surrounded Dutch referee Bjorn Kuipers following Ibrahimovic's lunging tackle on Brazilian midfielder Oscar.
The forward added: "I don't know if I have to get angry or start to laugh. For me when I saw the red card I was like 'the guy doesn't know what he's doing'."

Chelsea were too focused on play acting, gamesmanship and holding the play up to really play football. The game plan was just to disrupt PSG 's flow.

1-1 after an away match is always a dangerous score line. Because it does not matter whether you score or not, for the opposition they still need to score that goal or otherwise they are out. So the opposition need to go on all out attack anyway.

When Cahill scored the BBC 's Alan green screamed: Chelsea are definitely through. I thought he was such an ignorant muppet. Cahill's goal never gave chelsea that much advantage. It merely increased PSG determination to get that goal.

This one of the few times I am really glad that a French (!) team came to England and won and 100% deserved too.

 

I thought PSGs performance wasn't too different to ours at SB in the COC, but the important difference is that they scored from set pieces - 9 times out of 10 we wouldnt score from a set piece against Chelsea

our delivery is very very average and makes it easy to defend and despite 3 cbs we don't have real threat. mark one guy well and its easy to defend us.

 

I accept our trophy haul is a shadow but our future is definitely brighter. I would rather be looking to the future than looking to the past

 

Come on astro, you know i hate liverpool plus you guys were all happy we went out (i would have the same reaction if it was pool) so i was just pointing out this means chelsea less fixtures for chelsea and for mr i hardly rotate my squad mourinho when you face them.
