No but I've just finished my 1st year of my Software engineering Degree. Who do you know in Hull? I might know them also because I attend a lot of the Expo's around the area.
Well I will almost certainly be moving, certainly out of London. The postdoc I was working with took a job a few months ago starting on £28k in London. The PhD opens a few doors but the jobs you speak of do not exist in the Uk, particularly in technical fields.
Nobody in Hull Sirius but my son is coming with me he is just finishing up his Phd in computer science, he has been to Seattle to Microsoft and has done a lot of work for them and also has contacts with Google in Palo Alto California. He does expos around the USA and is pretty much on the cutting edge of the new artificial intelligence field which is where computers are going. He's a nice lad and still only 21, might be someone who could help you if software design is your field and you can at least talk shop for a bit. I'll let you know next week the days we will be around Hull.
Then you need to get yourself to America then as 28K a year is pretty paltry for them kind of qualifications, you could work at the EXXON plant here in Baton Rouge and triple that figure tomorrow!
Sounds like where I wanna be in 2 years. I have a placement in 2012 for a year with the Fire Brigade in Manchester designing GPS/Mapping software. It's not the kind of industry experience I wanted but it's part of the Phd and I'm sure it will benefit me in the long run.
I've got a City and Guilds Radio and TV Servicing Part 1(unfortunately I got sacked for kicking a hole in the door at Newland Televisions before I got to part 2) I've also got an award for being the fastest cucumber picker at J.R Bean's of Welton(1981). Both have served me very well in my career(though the last time my telly broke, I couldn't find any valves at all).
Mr Tommytiger, can I please have your autograph because when you become a famous writer or agony aunt I will sell it and become rich. (This is a joke but you do seem bitter) I really agree with most of what you said but give me your autograph anyway
Someone posted about why Hull City where selling tickets to Liverpool fans in the home end this was the respone: Hull City A.F.C. We're not knowingly doing that, but if a local who supports Liverpool buys one then we won't know until our fourth goal goes in and he gets up and walks out. 17 hours ago · Unlike · 6 people Made me laugh anyway
There were people buying them in Liverpool shirts, I'm not sure how they can't know. They were asking them to not show their colours at the game though, which is something. ****ers.
If im placed anywhere near someone in a Liverpool Shirt me and my friend (Zoe shes not too interested in football, only managed to drag her to one game before, which she enjoyed but she has a ****ing gob on her) will personally get up and go drag the cheeky bastards out ourselves!
one of the reasons i arent going, even city fans on here have talked about how there looking forward to seeing adam and carroll etc...no mention of looking forward to seeing harper again tho..
It's not me. Though I can see why you'd think it was me, defending Bullard, telling the truth about Pearson, giving you a condescending put down when you called him a clown, but no, it's not me.
