A bit early for transfer rumours, but hey-ho... please log in to view this image HULL City are monitoring Manchester United striker Will Keane with considerable interest, according to reports in today’s Sun. Steve Bruce, formerly a captain of the Red Devils, sent his top scout to focus on the 22-year-old whilst the forward is on loan at Sheffield Wednesday. Keane, who moved to Hillsborough in January and has made ten appearances for Stuart Grey’s outfit, has endured several tough seasons after suffering a serious knee injury two years ago. Just four years ago, Keane courted huge praise from United legend Paul Scholes, who told The Guardian at the time: “I think Will Keane has the capability to be a top-class centre-forward. “The kind of things (Ruud) Van Nistelrooy had. The first time I saw him I thought ‘Jesus Christ’ because he was smashing balls in from anywhere. Keane has the potential to do that.” Although Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal has a desire to promote from within, Bruce’s long-standing links with United could see Keane at the KC Stadium in the summer. A lot of my mates are Wendys and they like him, but don't think he's that much better than Connor Wickham was for them last year, if that is the case and he's of a similar standard, may not be a worthwhile signing
I'd take Connor Wickham, he's a decent player. If Will Keane is anything like him (he's a different type of player as far as I'm aware) and we can get him for good price, he'd be worth it.
Wickham kept the Mackems up with his goals, at the back end of last season. Thought he looked ok when he came on at the KC last week as well. So if he's as good as that, i'd have Keane
Worth a punt if Bunrley go down. Plus, i suspect that Curtis Davies will be on his way in the summer.
Tickles must be thinking of his twin brother Michael... I've love to think he's winding us up, but have read the forum long enough to know better...
