offered a contract but doesn't say he would sign it

Newcastle United have offered André Ayew a pre-contract
GFFN can confirm reports coming from Le 10 Sport yesterday that Newcastle United have offered Marseille attacking midfielder André Ayew a pre-contract.

The Ghanaian international and AFCON finalist has been in talks with a number of Premier League sides including Liverpool and Everton, but Newcastle, aware of the immense competition they face to sign the player this summer, have offered the player a 4 year contract with a salary worth around €2.1m per year net.

According to Le 10 Sport, Wolfsburg have also offered the player a pre-contract, and indications from an agent well-placed in Germany speaking to GFFN yesterday evening back up this claim.

AS Roma are also reportedly very interested in the player, so to are Borussia Dortmund, but neither has offered Ayew a pre-contract at the time of writing. André Ayew is expected to receive more offers in the coming weeks, including a second contract extension proposal from Marseille.

Ayew has yet to reject of accept any of the offers on the table and would ideally like to wait until at least April before considering his future. Ayew has had a difficult start to 2015 on a personal level, having struggled with the near miss at this year’s AFCON particularly.

He'd be a cracking signing but we won't be alone in this pursuit, certainly not when he is on a free. Roma, Dortmund or Newcastle - its a tough one...

Anyone think we need a bit of this at St James Park?

At least its not in the Mirror, so it might have a chance .

It will be difficult to get him, but, if a contract has been offered, hopefully, its a serious one.

Competition will be way to stiff to sign him. Good news if true though. At least we are trying to get ahead of the game.

This one will never get over the line......mainly because Pardew took the line with him.

He's probably going to be the best free agent available. He's probably worth 12 million pounds or so we can offer him a good salary to make up the gap. Mikes got the money not, but does he have the ambition? Or any ambition for that matter?

He's Oba Martin's older cousin so I'd place him at about 22.

Martins is making a heck of a living here in the states! He'll be due for social security in 5 years.

Blimey, thought he was older than that. That would be a cracking signing for us. Surely there will be bigger teams than us after him.

If it becomes a bidding war you'd have to think we have no hope based on past form from the regime. They are tighter than a nun's blart. No it'll be a new 5 year deal for Sammy and we'll see out Obertan's contract. Meanwhile WBA and Hull will join Stoke, Southampton, Swansea and West Ham in the places above us next season, which is fair enough because how could we compete financially with the likes of those footballing behemoths?
