Exciting news!! Walking Dead prequel is coming this summer http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/amcs-walking-dead-prequel-lands-775509
just caught up with the last series of both Ripper Street & Misfits. shame both have finished. watching the latest instalment of SAUL later
So Clarkson has (finally and inevitably) been sent packing from Top Gear for getting into an 'altercation' with a producer. He was on a warning / yellow card so this is his sending off. I imagine Clarkson has had an idea for a segment that has been vetoed by the producer in question, under advice from the BBC higher-ups who want the programme to stay toned down because of past controversies, and has gone off on one when he's been denied his own way. Will be interesting to see what happens now and if the show continues and how. Will they keep the current format and just try and slot a new main presenter into the Clarkson role... would Hammond and May accept this or feel slighted by it (they have both been there for a long time and could rightly feel that this should be an opportunity for them to take on a more important role) and would the dynamic still be there?? I'd be up for someone like Rachel Riley coming in as the new presenter, would give an interesting new dynamic, she's eye candy for viewers and having a woman come in would in some ways avoid making Hammond and May feel disrespected by the new big guy breezing in and thinking he runs the place.
Like him or not, Clarkson makes the show. I hope they don't sack him but I think they will. Top Gear will never be the same again. As for someone like Rachel Riley doing it, that would ruin it even more! Can you really see RR doing a 1,000+ mile challenge across India or Africa?
Yeah!! She seems like a game sort of girl. Alright maybe not as well. Just an idea. Who would you suggest?? I can't see a way back for Clarkson now, he was on his last warning but the show is a massive money spinning global brand and he is the heart of it, as you say, which works in his favour. Would be really strange without him anyway. It's been cancelled this Sunday btw.
Yeah, heard about this Sunday's show being cancelled before knowing why. I think he is irreplaceable so if they do sack him they would have to look at changing the format again. I also have a feeling Hammond and/or James would walk away too. They've all been doing it together for so long that those two may see it as the right time for a change. There is a petition to save Jeremy's job and a lot of pressure is being applied from sponsors etc too apparently. Top gear is reportedly the most watched documentary and also the most profitable BBC programme too. PS...and yes, if they could get RR doing that weird **** then game on
It would be a shame if it changes completely as I do really like the show. It is what it is, an entertainment show with three pre-pubescent adult man-boys at its core taking the piss out of each other, doing stupid stunts in cars and with other toys and machinery and driving the latest supercars and luxury cars when they are released. They'd just got permission from Ferrari to test a LaFerarri against the new McLaren as well, don't know if we'll see that now
The trio complimented each other perfectly too, I just see them replacing that chemistry. I think they cancelled programme will eventually be shown regardless of the Clarkson outcome. I think there are only two episodes left in this series anyway too.
At least Masterchef is back on. I do like me a bit of Masterchef ... Mostly to see the ones that completely **** up
Although I have a reputation when it comes to food, I'm not a fan of masterchef at all. It's no Man vs Food I've just watched the latest episode of Better Call Saul, very good
It's completely different to ManvFood which I also like... that's finished now hasn't it?? Not seen Saul yet, still on the fence. Looking forward to Game of Thrones and Mad Men coming back soon
The bbc dont have the balls to sack clarkson. They lose May and Hammond if they do and a huge part of their audience. No idea why it was inevitable. People are aware all the uproar caused by the show is staged and planned surely.
what you have is x produces v clarkson..... obviously the bbc dont use brains or commercial requirements to make these calls
i think a) show is pre recorded no idea why you'd pull sundays. thats just stupid b) the other shows off = may and hammond not doing it on their own
The segments are pre-recorded from months ago, ie the test drives, challenges and overseas trips. The stuff in the studio is filmed during the week the show is to be aired, I believe they film those on the Wednesday, so he would be/is suspended for the studio filming for this Sundays episode.
Someone may have mentioned it previously however you should look into watching a series called Banshee. Certainly much more entertaining per episode than Walking Dead which i find is turning me into a zombie cause of the time spent watching not a whole lot...
Watched some of it, I don't think it's a patch on TWD. Each to their own I suppose, also thought Justified was better than Banshee which is a similar show.
That looks good. District 9 was a good film but I thought there was going to be more of them, as a stand alone film it's a little disappointing.
