If Dr Barmby doesn't wish to be referred to as 'Dr', then why should someone refer to him as Dr simply because they use the title on themselves?
The key word here is permits. "In practice, when a well-known figure outside the academic world receives an honorary doctorate, the recipient does not generally adopt the title of 'Doctor', especially when he or she already has other styles or titles, for example a peer, an officer in the Armed Forces, a judge, etc. This, however, is a matter of the recipient's choice." - See more at: http://www.debretts.com/forms-address/professions/academics/doctor#sthash.cs9YRUq7.dpuf
The key word in your previous post was 'etiquette' - Etiquette is a code of behaviour that delineates expectations for social behaviour according to contemporary conventional norms within a society, social class, or group.
It says the decision will be published once a decision has been made, no timetable given. However the result is also covered by the next paragraph which says it will remain confidential until such time as a decision as been made, According to Ehab the decision's been made and, accordingly the result should be published. After reading the arbitration panel's decision on a player accused of violent conduct I can see why Ehab Allam wouldn't want the result published now. Personally I can wait because I think they'll have thrown out the club's application. If they announce it after the season finishes and they've won it would mean any court action by supporters will take place during next season, with a possible injunction against the club using Hull Tigers in place for the start of the season.
Truth being we should have got a fee from them. Same as all Champagne Charlie footballers, once you put them on a pedestal, they get all wobbly on you.
