Fernandes said that there was no plan B when asked what happens if Old Oak Common doesn't come off. If we wanted to build a stadium at Warren Farm that would be a whole new planning application. It's taken us nearly 4 years to get the scope of the training ground agreed, still no sign of actual building, this would be another 6 or 7 years as its changing green space use even more radically. Plus, the owners wouldn't get any cash back by building flats.

I think brownfield site is the only alternative to Old Oak.

Ah well, There goes that hopeful thought. Still we could still be playing on green space couldn't we. Synthetic pitches are usually this colour!

I am in the Swords camp here.

I like TF a lot but I think he has grossly mismanaged the club.

I don't hate being in the PL.
I hate being a small fish in a big pond.
If we were even a middling fish in the big pond, my life as a QPR supporter (and this discussion board) would be a whole lot more positive.

I don't see what would be so great about being on the level of, for example, Newcastle and finishing. 12th every season

Yes and no. Surely it's better than being on a level of say Reading and finishing in a similar position in the Championship every season?

I don't get why they can't take the timing out of the refs hands. Have a timer somewhere in stadium operating a digital display on scoreboard that everyone can see (such as NBA, NFL etc.). Ball goes dead, sub, treatment etc. timer stops clock. 90 mins gets reached game ends.
No sudden horrific injuries for players on the leading team in the 89th min, or endless substitutes, no keepers struggling to choose which side of 6 yard box to kick from or cleaning boots.

Well, for me I wouldn't mind this. It's not as if Newcastle are choosing that particular position. All I want is for our team to be trying their best and giving their effort for the club and fans. If they try their best, give us something to shout about and can only manage mid table on a regular basis, I'd be proud of them.

Put it this way... we were promoted last season but I felt no excitement throughout that season, bar a few games. What a deflating season, because we looked rubbish and won promotion based on having better players than other teams, plus a dash of luck.

And I'm not feeling bad about the prospect of relegation because I believe the team are trying hard and are giving us a bit of something to shout about. If we go down whilst trying hard, I'll be ok. If we go down like under Hughes or how we all imagine we would have gone down if harry stayed, I'd be pissed off.

So, to simplify, I just want a team of good characters who try hard and a manager who tries to win. I want something to get behind when I watch them play. I would hate us to be champions league contenders if it meant we lose all soul and turn into a Man City.

    The answer is, 'hope'.
There would be the hope of a cup run of some sort or a whiff of Europa League once in a while.
There would also be better quality football with more entertainment than we have been served over our seasons in the PL so far.

Plus more frequent turning over of top 6-8 clubs.
