ENS if that your match chant then i hope its for cup matches..cos we cant have extra time in league matches to fit that in
'theres only juan..jurgen klinsmann juan..jurgen klinsmann walking along singin a song singing in a jurgen juan-derland'
So if we're looking to sign Mata, does that mean we're resigned to losing Bale to MUPLC? No, wait, they got bored to publicly declaring their interest in him a while back, remembered that Villa are soft touches, and signed Ashley Young instead... Actually, signing Mata does pose one question about the shape of the team - Mata's a left winger, and so's Bale. To fit Mata in, Bale could be moved to left back, but that means Assou-Ekotto would be dropped. And then there's the inevitible articles about us playing 4-2-3-1 next season...
Assou-Ekotto would still probably play a decent number of games if we could progress in the Europa League and the domestic cups, plus he may go to the African Cup of Nations with Cameroon in January, if they can qualify. Bale's fitness hasn't been the best recently, either. With Rose being told that he's not going out on loan though, you have to question whether this Mata thing has anything substantial behind it.
How do you know that he's happy there? Have you asked him? As with your own club, Valencia are skint. They may have to sell their prized assets again, so it would be a matter of where to go, rather than whether to go.
He has said to the Spanish press that he loves Valencia, it is more the economy of Spain at the moment rather than the clubs. Only Malaga are not in debt in Spain but that doesn't mean that everyone has to sell there best players. If he was to leave though, it would be somewhere better than Tottingham
Another Mystic Meg impression? You have no idea where Mata may or may not go. Don't you get sick of talking **** about Spurs? Your clubs are all skint because Barca and Real are allowed to dominate all of your TV and sponsorship deals and they both overspend like crazy, anyway. Valencia do have to sell their best players and they already did so, with Villa and Silva both jumping ship last season.
Atletico and Valencia both get a lot of TV revenue because of the way it is set out, it is the teams towards the bottom of the table which struggle financially. The money Valencia recieved for Silva and Villa was re used to buy a more complete squad. Atletico will use the De Gea money and the money from the possible departure of Aguero on a few players, like we did with Torres when we were in more debt. Next year we move into a 73000 seater stadium aswell so the financial side of Atletico isn't as bad as what English papers are saying at the moment and over the past 3 years when Aguero 'signed' for Chelsea. If we needed the money why did we turn down your bid for Aguero in Jan?
Because of the possibility of more money in this window? And that's if there even was a bid. Valencia's debt has come down to about €370m or something, but that's still an enormous amount of money and they're still trying to bring your wage bill down. Your debts must be appalling too, as your chairman seems unable to actually put a figure on it, without talking about selling this, that or the other property.
Agreed our chairman is shocking but somehow managed to win director of the year. Apparently though they are open to being bought out but for now they are willing to put in a bit of money for transfers
