Kasper Schmeichel returns giving us a fully fit squad to choose from. This game is a must win game and i think we will revert back to a 442. So here is what I would go with Schmeichel Simpson Huth Morgan Konchesky Mahrez James Cambiasso Schlupp Ulloa Kramaric Subs- Schwarzer, Wasilewski, Knockaert, Drinkwater, King, Vardy, Nugent
Can't see NP dropping Schwarzer after his display at Man City ,,, I'd like to see us going for it and that will mean maintaining solidity of the back - so it's a 3 but WEs is currently the weak link in that so drop him ,,, combine with two genuine wing backs that can hopefully get forward and get crosses in .. so Schwarzer Schlupp Upson Huth Wasilewski de Laet James Cambiasso Mahrez Kramaric Ulloa
We can't stick with 5 at the back at home against teams where we on par with. Hull are nothing special they just have abit more know how they us and they has seen them get the results while we haven't. Their left back Figueroa looks like a donkey and getting Mahrez at him will be where we get most of our joy. If we play like we have done against Arsenal, Everton and Man City then we will win
We'll be very disappointed if Figueroa starts, for the weaker teams, particularly one's with iffy defense's, we'd expect to start Robertson.
If we are actually going to go for this then we can't afford to keep giving the ball away ... which Konch and Danny Simpson do far to often ... when Mahrez hit the post against Man City the ball came out to Danny Simpson ... we had bodies in the middle and Citeh on the rack ... he 'passed' it straight to Joe Hart ... therein lies one of our biggest problems ... the final ball is lacking and we really need to have players in the side now who have enough technical ability to not just hit and hope but to identify the most telling ball and execute it ...
We'll start with 6 at the back and with Schwarzer finally having a good game - ish at Man City I fully expect him to be dropped with Conrad being recalled.
We don't know which teams are on par until the end of the season. We are nine points behind you. We beat you, we'll be six behind with a game in hand. Of the big five, you have Man U, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea to play, we just have Chelsea. Plus you have Southampton, Swansea, Tottenham and Palace (who are a very decent side) away. In all seriousness, you need to beat us, because the only other fixture I can see you winning is against Burnley. Will you survive on 33 pts?
I expect us to line up McGregor Dawson Bruce McShane Elmo Livermore Diame Huddlestone Robertson Jelavic N'Doye Harper, Davies, Rosenior, Meyler, Ramirez, Quinn, Hernandez Maybe Aluko for Quinn on the bench. Rosenior now back in full training
You do realise your game in hand is against Chelsea ? Still plenty of fixtures where we can potentially pick up points even against the bigger boys , but to answer your question with the sides currently at the bottom yes I do think 33 points will be enough I don't see you burnley or qpr getting that amount or more

Everytime you play a big club, we play a weaker team and have the opportunity to close the gap. But when we play Chelsea, you don't play at all, so you can't captialise. I think QPR are capable of getting 33 pts. I watched them against Tottenham yesterday and thought they were unlucky. But so were we when we lost to Tottenham. I think 35 will be enough to survive. A couple of draws and you may be alright, but you MUST beat us and Burnley.
After Saturday I wish you all the best , but you have to effectively double your current points tally with all the best will and blinkered vision of a football fan it ain't going to happen, you have played these so called weaker teams already this season and have come up short , and we're more than capable of going to palace and Swansea and getting a result also capable of upsetting anyone here and the odd freak result away from home .
I know what you're saying, but it's a fluke of fixtures that many of our... more winnable games are in the final 12. I think five wins and a couple of draws would do us. We have to beat your lot and QPR at home, plus Newcastle is a very winnable fixture (we beat them fairly comfortably in the cup). Burnley away is also a must-win, and then we need to beat either Sunderland, West Brom away or Southampton, West Ham or Swansea at home. It is doable, but of course the pressure is immense and the odds are against us - but we're well-known for doing things the hard way. Regarding coming up short against the lower teams, we've actually picked up 8 points out of 18 against the five teams above us. We've strengthened since then - so hopefully we can get at least another eight points in the remaining four games.
... did originally have the same thought ... but can he really start with only one up top when we are so desperate for a win? ... could turn the crowd against him within 20 munutes if we are then carp ...
We almost beat man city a few weeks ago, took a point from, before that we almost beat arsenal but conceded deep into injury time, took a point from arsenal, also took a point from liverpool. What makes you think that we wont take a few points from the "big five" ?
