Good question......looked onside when the free kick was taken with no other touch from a Liverpool player
and i think most of us are counting on the hope that, should we qualify for the CL then our transfer policy won't be as disastrous as last summer's - the signings that have been good could have been made without CL football, and the ones that couldn't have were all wannabee CL players that were out of their depth. A decent transfer wimdow would ensure we don't serve up the same dross in europe
Blackburn boss Gary Bowyer: "The pitch at Ewood is nowhere near the standard here so it might be a bit of a leveller for us."
Players need to be confident the club can repeat the CL qualification on the future too. Suarez was behind last season and we lost him, maybe players weren't willing to join because of this and that's why we ended up with players we could have got without CL? #conspiracy Qualifying for a second successive season would hold a lot more weight IMO, especially given that we don't have a standout world class player in our ranks
tbh mate I have to say the signings are beginning to look good. Something is clicking that wasn't there in the first half of the season during the CL group. I don't even think it was Sturridge's absence. Maybe it was Johnson and Gerrard that were actually holding you back rather than your new signings that appear to be gelling. This is the FA Cup, sh1t happens.
thought Can was poor today. Gave the ball away a lot with sloppy passing and tried to take to many on when running with it when there were better options. If that is supposed to be his best position then he really needs to work at it. Markovic was very frustrating and only tried to go past a man on a couple of occasions the rest of the time he just blasted it against a Blackburn player.
True, Moreno and Mankiller have looked decent most of the season with others coming good such as Marko and Can, even Balotelli has done well recently but it still could have been a much better summer.
For a while in the first half I wondered if Toure was playing CF, in some attacks by Blackburn Toure was nowhere in the field of the TV camera's view and it almost cost us a goal at one point. We suffered from the disruption of Skrtel getting injured and the long hold up
If barca offered the 75 and Suarez had not bitten the Italian would we have at least have put up a fight to keep him?
Suarez wanted to go and I'm sure we'd have made promises when he signed his new deal but I do think we would have got a bit more for him.
I would ask you if you had played the game because if you thought Lallana was good and has been good for liverpool, then you clearly haven't. And going back to the original point, if you think turning back and going to the wing was the right option, again, I question whether you have played the game at all.
Draw was Right Result. Liverpool have Played Poor This Year. Shocking in Europe. FA Cup is Best Bet to Progress. Man Utd, Gunners. Are Also Beatable. Villa are Shocking. Win at Blackburn. Cup Could Be Yours.
Playing the game doesn't mean you understand it. Phil Neville and Robbie Savage have over a 1000 professional appearances between each other. I'd still listen to Gerrez over them, even if figure skating is the only sport he actually takes part in.
So you think crossing to a empty box is a good idea? Or is that a committee thought process? You'd probably make for a good referee though
Most of them are starting to click but two of the most expensive, Lovren and Balotelli, have only gone from "useless" to "average" and on top of that they're only clicking in one system, which is a flawed plan for a team that wants to succeed in europe. Better quality upgrades are needed
