SCOG - Glad you made it and other than your comments about Gerks then I fully agree with your initial post. Sorry to derail, now back to ales, porn and JWMs moth ridden wallet. Much more exciting than football.
nor me, but this thread was the only one concerning current events that hadn't turned into an argument so thought I woud keep it safe. Never mind your a mod so you can sort it out if it turns in chaos!
I might have to have words with you TB, you forgot to mention the cheese. You can't forget the cheese, NEVER forget the cheese!!
Well Done SD for turning this into a Cheesy thread! You can't beat a bit of Stilton washed down with a fine pint of Ghost Ship IMO!
Sorry mate, I can't take credit for it. Weighty started us on the cheese trail. I'd personally go with the strongest cheddar I can find, crackers and a Chimay Blue.
Now, as this has become the most unravelled thread in recent memory and shows up our varied and sophisticated tastes, I am voting that the following items be on the next ITFC Board meeting agenda: Arrogant Bastard and Ghost ship ales(presumably Adnams brew?)...IPA US brews Cheddar, Chimay & Stilton cheese US Porn..merits of compared to UK Picalilly Sauces of various brands and colours Warky's moth-ridden wallet...Spanish's mouth-washed empty bottles of el plastico And my Pink Tulip! The attending directors will then vote in the most remarkable fresh new policies, new thinking, new money and MM has the equivalent of a football lobotomy and we go on a form defying unstoppable run...starting with a 2-0 win at the Borough!!
Great post scog!! Have to say i do love Spanish cheese, they are really into their cheeses and the stronger the better!! Cant give ya the name of my favourite as its made by one of the ladies in our little village and does not have a name, tis very strong tho. Covap do a very very good extra mature that is a mixture of goats/sheep/cows milk, thats lush! Sadly i cant take to real ale/bitter etc, im a lager man, stella or san mig for me, i love red wine and fino, detest whisky etc!!
Well, I got that one wrong! Thought it was the cheesy thread. Mind you those Trappist Monks...and no doubt their sisterly Nuns, do know a thing or two about brewing. I remember years ago, smimmying up a lift to explore Mt Athos in Greece, and being greeted by a wonderful monk with a a glass of the monastery ale in hand! Cant think how I managed to get away!
