The poll is 19 yes to 50 no to the question of winning this league, I guess that's still pretty accurate.

I wasn't aware we were arguing and that's not I meant by you being defensive, you just seem to have a problem with people who don't have the same level of confidence as you (which again is a good thing, don't lose it).

It's the thin line between confidence and arrogance, so our Suffolk neighbours love to remind us.

Nothing wrong with either if you can back it up.

Whenever opposing teams say something derogatory the quote gets put up for all the players to see. You only seem to hear about this when they win.

I wonder how many times it doesn't work. I'd guess more as the team making the comment will probably be better.

I was one of the 19 at the beginning of the season and my vote has stayed there all season because of the quality and depth of our squad. Had we not lost at home to Wigan and lost Grabban and Bassong to injury as well, I'd probably be feeling like SN23, but 10 games is still a long way to go. The games against Derby and Boro are huge, but at least they are at home. Boro have Ipswich, Derby and Bournemouth in their next 3 matches plus ourselves away later which makes me think they could find it tough. The Bookies make City, Bournemouth and Derby the current top 3 in that order, but it's all very tight. I agree that those are the three most likely to succeed. We could help our cause big-time if we beat Derby next week, so I'm optimistic, but it isn't yet totally in our own hands.

Also because you thought Neil Adams would be a good manager.

One word change and I'll bet you that sentence is being bandied about

    "you CAN win the league"

Positive state of mind, if you approach something with nerves or no belief you'll probably **** it up.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed but given the changes since AN came in its looking very promising

Not exactly, as I also had doubts about Adams' experience, but more because I feel at the end of the day squad depth, quality and commitment are the main factors in achieving success over a 48 game season. Managers play their main role in the third element and AN has been great in doing just that. I just felt that the first two elements would prove in our favour in the latter half of the season when fatigue, loss of form and injuries started taking a toll on the leading teams, as it has done. I don't want any further pointless arguments about Adams and Neil, as the former is still a part of our club and the latter is doing the excellent job we all hoped he would.

I reckon it's 50/50 for the Auto positions and 99% top six. That makes our chances of promotion around 5 in 8..or 62.5%

We have all the necessary qualities to win it, we have the form, the easier run in, a manager that knows how to get players playing to their potential and good squad depth. We should win this league from this position. However, there is still that tiny bit of doubt in my mind that something will go wrong. All of us on here want you to be right SN, most of us expect you to be right, no one will laud it over you if you are wrong because we are all fans of the club and want them to succeed. This idea that people are only being slightly pessimistic so they can go "HA! I told you so" is being harsh to those with a different view. I assume it's because some are genuinely worried something will go wrong.

In the end, it doesn't really matter what we say and think as I believe AN now has instilled confidence in the team that they can win it and they will be doing everything in their power to achieve that goal! They aren't coming on here and seeing posts by RBF and saying "Well he has some doubts! We must be doing something wrong!"

I bloody hope not! They wouldn't have any time to actually train if they were wading through our ramblings!

For example, an injury to either Hooper or Jerome could be quite an issue with Grabban already out. Look what's happened to Derby's form since Martin and then Bent have been injured.

Good point, but I wonder how good Carlton Morris could be at this level?? I'd love to see him get some game time. <ok>

Morris probably isn't really Champ level yet (Though we wont really know unless he gets a run of games) but he's probably good enough as back up. I'd still rather AN got another striker in if Hoops or Jerome picked up any more niggles. Both have had their injury troubles this season.

It could be anyone the fixture list might play right into our hands, but we had a great opportunity to gain a bit of distance in this race on Wednesday night, where Wigan of all teams in this league threw a spanner into the works.

Is it not slightly ironic that Supernorwich is claiming his opinions as fact, given that is what he constantly accuses me of?
