Similar to Awjm, but from a slightly more positive perspective, I am actually excited about the prospect about returning to the Championship. Reasons why: 1) more games 2) more more level in terms of competition 3) real prospect of winning something and heading to Wembley. No chance of winning league in Prem. Ever. 4) cheaper tickets. Have been out-priced a few times this season despite earning more than national average. £106 for two tickets against Spurs (one is under 16). **** off. 5) more of a focus on football rather than wages, diving and refereeing 6) the players are generally more likeable Am sure there are more reasons, but that's enough for me.
Were not there yet chaps ................... stranger things have and can happen. Let's press on regardless.
Yes, I enjoy the Championship. But I do want to stay in the top league. My attitude is more about wanting the premier league to change. But if it won't change, I get much more enjoyment out of the Championship. Here's an idea: let the EPL close off like the NFL, the Football League breaking ties with the EPL and the Championship becoming the top most league for Football League teams. But the difference would be a lot more rules to protect the integrity of the sport, protect it from commercialism and make it a better place for young player development, etc. Anyway, it'll never happen.
No thanks. Stupid notion as well especially seeing they may not even let us join. Non League suit you better?
Anyone see the top of the Champo? The top 4 teams level on points!! I hope COL doesn't find out that Norwich have risen from the dead and are now joined top!!
The Championship is a proper competitive league unlike the PL, it's nice to be in the PL but very painful. I won't be as distraught if we go down this time compared to last time, I think I've come to accept TF is a consummate bullsh*tter...
Shoot me down for saying this if you like, I won't bite. Clutching at straws a bit maybe and stating the bleeding obvious but we are not relegated just yet, survival is still mathematically possible. Hang in there you U R's! please log in to view this image
I was really impressed in manner in which Blackburn Rovers competed and conducted themselves at Liverpool today in their FA Cup fixture, earning a deserved 0-0 draw and a replay. They also had a few good opportunities to score and at one point in the 2nd half must have strung about 40 or so Ole passes together. They didn't seem at all out of place in this game.
