But according to the Dallas Morning News, Hicks has had to drop the asking price by $35million since its valuation three years ago. Hicks, who took control of the club along with George Gillett in February 2007 following a £218million purchase from David Moores, embarked on a divisive and deeply damaging three-and-a-half year reign at Anfield. Their conduct led to high-profile fall-outs with manager Rafael Benitez and Rick Parry, as well as lumbering the club with mounting debts of over £400million – putting the Reds on the brink of administration. Their time at the club was met with huge fan unrest, with large scale protests against the pair, who were urged to sell up. They eventually did, to New England Sports Ventures, in October 2010 – although the pair would launch legal proceedings regarding the takeover, which they would lose. Now Hicks is selling up his Dallas property, which reportedly takes two hours to tour. The 25-acre spread is the biggest residential property in Dallas, with the main house over 50,000 square feet. The reasons for Hicks selling up – and taking a $35million hit on the property – are unknown. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/spor...former-liverpool-fc-owner-tom-8783332#rlabs=3
Remember when we bombarded the local Dallas newspaper website in our fight to get him and Gillet out at the time of the Dallas courtcase? They never knew what hit them.
Hmmm, dunno. There must be some way of finding out.... Whilst I wouldn't say no to being a bit- or even substantially- richer, I can't imagine why anyone would want to live in a huge place.
Me either. If I won the lottery I'd want a house with the usual kitchen/bathrooms/bedrooms/living room/sex dungeon/office... And that's all... just enough for one bedroom each + guest room. I wouldn't want a huge place... sound very... unhomelike.
If I won the lottery I'd buy a comfortable home in a place I liked- or maybe more than one in different places, but I can't see the point in a big sprawling home at all. It must be just a statement of wealth, I suppose, to people with the need to prove something- make themselves feel important.
I can. You need a big garage for the many expensive cars. You need a gym, cinema room, swimming pool room, games room, sauna, a bedroom and bathroom each plus the kitchen, living room, dining room etc. You also need a massive cellar with a beer room, seed dungeon and a secret hideout! Outside you need both full size and five-a-side sized football pitches, tennis courts, golf course, some woods, a lake and a beach.
Disagree with this, I love big places and assume some others do as well. To me they are more interesting/spooky and Ive always wanted to say "Im retiring for the evening to the West wing Mrs Dr Says"
