Maybe you should move to North Korea where the government have full control of the media. In Europe the amount of press on the celebrities is just as rife as in the UK, but obviously we don't hear about it as we don't care about celebrities we have never heard of.

I do agree that it would be better with proper news, but it just doesn't sell.

Makes no difference really, those who buy the NOTW will probably end up moving on to buy The Sun instead...

what will make a difference is who ever has done/sanctioned/been involved with this will get jailed (like the guy who tapped the royals did) for who they tapped they stepped way over the line and imo is indefensible freedom of the press or not

The Sun will be stretched to a 7th Day. Apparently a wrangle over the name Sunday Sun due to there being one up here

Good. Hacking into the families of murder victims is a disgrace and hope whoever was doing the hacking is sacked and trialled. Sick bastards!

    JUSTICE!!!

Many honest journalists losing their jobs, Rebekah Brooks keeping hers, take THAT corruption!

On a more serious note, now I'm going have to fork out extra for that fancy quilted toilet paper instead. :(

Shame for all the innocent support staff that work there - the abysmal actions of those at the top have screwed them right over.

Before everyone had the internet for their porn, the News of the Screws did serve a purpose once with some of their spreads.......

She's a bleedin' half wit. The reason she had to leave The Sun was because she got accused of assaulting her then husband, Ross Kemp (yes<laugh>) while The Sun were running a campaign against domestic violence. Quality.

Wouldn't surprise me if the plan all along was to have this exposed as they wanted to close it down - this gets them one last massive glug of publicity.
