It's odd to think how well we've done since xmas, when tbh I still think we're a long way off the fluidity of last season.

Yes its a different sort of play. There is a distinct lack of real penetration in our play still... really after first 5/10 mins city has us pegged and it was two smashing shots that took the points.

Sterling is not a striker nor never will be and it shows. LFC are bizarrely playing without a striker and only seeing sturridge sputter along yet and are on a 11 match unbeaten run in prem with 8 of those as wins.

Our best run last year was 11 wins in a row.

It is very much based on a much more soild line up where we are not getting hurt yet by sides going down the sides. Not once yet has a side pinned back the wing backs and really hurt us in the prem. In the cup sides have done it though...

I am hopeful we have some level of improvement left to come this season base don sturridge finally firing into life up front.

If he could hit a goal a game type form i think wed be very much the side to beat.... (based on we have conceded 6 goals in 10 with 6 clean sheets) add goals to that and you have a team that nobody wants to play.

    First perfect block of 4.

12/12 after 10/12 in prior block

That's offically title winning form, pity about bad form earlier in season.

    Next block

    Swansea a
    Utd h
    Arsenal a
    Newcastle h

Different sort of block this time, swans are very very good at home. Utd are woeful but getting results. Arsenal could do anything and newcastle at anfield???

    9/12 highly possible

It's not lucky, it's efficient. Painfully, annoying efficient. You're hard to beat, and have the quality up front to get the odd goal out of nothing.

exactly what i said.... befor ehte game yesterday too.

It'll be more interesting to see spurs v utd at old trafford where utd are much better but spurs are a decent actual side who will attack.

Spurs MUST win or are out of 4th. this will be a big test for both sides.

LFC go to swansea which is must win but i think much harder than reds fans are willing to admit.

Arsenal have won their last 6 home games and are second in the form table to us. I'd be really happy with a point. This block of games defines our season. with only Newcastle at home remotely easy to predict. 7 points from these and we'll stay in the race as Utd have a tough set of fixtures too. Any less and we may struggle for top 4. Spurs have a relatively easy run in and my eyes are on them just as much as on Utd.

I disagree. A point at OT for Spurs keeps them in the race. Their run in is good. Any more sets of games like last night though, were nobody dropped points, and we'll need 73 points for 4th.
