---------------Forster -Clyne-Fonte-Yoshida-Bertrand --------Wanyama-Schneiderlin -Mane---------JWP-----------Tadic- -----------------Long I'd go with the team that ended the game tonight. I don't think there's a real need to rush Alderweireld back in. Yoshida has been solid and I'm assuming Fonte is undroppable as captain.
You are confusing Tintin - I'm looking at the above, then looking at the Reed Must Play thread where you assert "Yes, I would play him in every game".
And the post in the West Brom match thread where he said he would never play Vic again! What a difference a win makes. Seriously though, Toby is important to our attacking play as he can ping a pass out of defence better than anyone except Morgan. I would actually play him alongside Vic and push Morgan further forward at JWP's expense. With Matic playing we need some solidity in the middle. I can guarantee that Ronald won't do that, however, so what do I know?
Yeah, I get the impression though that this is less about favouritism, and more that Ron is the type of manager that believes to get through a bad spell of form you have to be on the pitch. Might be to do with not quite trusting his alternative(s) too.
My attack is a bit leftfield. Gonna whack Mane up front with JWP putting the balls through for him. Long and Davis to feed off the scraps. I can't see us having much fun down the wings with Ivanovic and Azpilicueta, so might as well go through the middle. ------------- Forster -------------- Clyne - Yoshi - Fonte - Bertrand ------ Wanyama - Morgan ------- ----- Davis --- JWP --- Long ----- -------------- Mane ----------------
That's a good shout actually, I kinda like that. Agree that it's unlikely to actually happen, so more realistically I'd have it as we finished against Palace but Toby in at CB, sorry Maya.
---------------Forster -------------- Clyne - Fonte - Toby - Bertrand ------ Wanyama - Morgan ------- ----- Mane---- Davis --- Tadic ----- ----------------- Pelle ---------------- In my opinion our best team
Old school. Like it (though am beginning to think Djuricic could have a role to play in SD's position).
One thing we learnt from last night (and knew, really) is that Sadio can be a force on the right. So yes, keep Dusan left!
Elia will probably start, as his pace could be vital on the counter attack (if we actually play counter attacking football for a change!)
I will have to watch next Sundays game with the unofficial Bogota Chelsea Fan Club, 40 or so young locals who use my pub to watch Chelsea games. I have watched most Chelsea games and they are obviously a good side but what are your feelings on how to get a result against them? Ryan can play this time thankfully but where are thier weaknesses? Teams obviously have a game plan against Chelsea but its not our style to park the bus, Matic vs Morgan will be key as well as Clynne vs Hazard. Keep those 2 quiet and Chelsea seem to run out of ideas. I think that Zouma will play alongside Terry as we have quick forwards. A draw would be fantastic (even a crappy 0-0)
Can't see us getting anything unfortunately. They are an absolute juggernaut of a team this year, with goals coming from all over. I think they will get to the CL final this year in all honesty. With that being said, I would park the bus with Davis/Reed wanyama and Morgan centrally, and Elia and mane on the flanks trying to counter

Yes, Clyne will hit a worldy, Toby will power in a thumping header, Maya will shoulder one in and Bertrand's bound to score against his former club!
