games to go, a further 12 points I think is normally all that is needed for L1 survival... 1. What's your thoughts for this season and whether the magical number of 53/54 points is enough? 2. Select the games where you think we might pick up those valuable points... 3. The Gills roller coaster, play-offs, the bit in between or relegation? Personally i think we will be welcoming Mighty and Millwallsteve to Priestfield next season, with guaranteed visits to our board from Cheese, OLOF and the rest of the Weeds gang
1. Minimum of 54 just to be on the safe side. 2. Should win matches (maybe draw) - Colchester (H), Notts County (H), Crawley (A), Leyton O (A). Maybe win (should draw) - Fleetwood (H), Rochdale (H). Should draw (maybe lose) - Doncaster (H), Bradford (H). Maybe draw (should lose) - Chesterfield (A), Scunny (A). No chance - Swindon (A), Bristol City (A), Preston (A). So if we split the 'should' and 'maybe' results in these games, that'll be 14 points.. I think. Best case scenario 22 points. worse case - 6 points 3. Hoping for mid-table obscurity - still believe it could go to the wire though. Time to put the leatherette crystal ball away for another year...
Hell what do I know... That's 3 extra points I didn't believe we would get. Make that 9 points for absolute safety, and dare I suggest 25-28 points for a play-off place...
