I hope we don't slip up here, I mentioned on another thread that this is the game where our players will be knackered.

Brendan Rodgers or "Brodge" as Noel Gallagher renamed him on MOTD2 a couple of weeks ago, has said that Liverpool can win all of their remaining Premier League matches. Currently on an 11 match unbeaten run, they are now fifth in the table, two points from third placed Arsenal.

"It takes a little bit of time to get going and bringing in a certain method of play," he told a news conference. "We had to stay strong during a tough moment. We've found the solutions and we're playing at a high level.

"It's tight. Arriving in there has always been our objective," he said of the top four. "We want to keep chasing right to the end.

"Every game is super competitive and every team has got quality. We are going into every game respecting the opponent but believing we can win."

bit of a reporting jump to make a comment that we will try to win each game to be we can win all our games.. which sounds like a boast.

    Fortunately we've rotated a little.

Coutinho and Henderson missed Thursday, and Markovic has sat out both Europa game, Sturridge was on the bench v City and Lallana has been constantly rotated all season.

Moreno has played an incredible amount but seems like a very well built machine. He still needs protecting though because he is still young and runs at pace a lot. We dont want another Aurelio in a few years. Where the hell has Enrique been?

markovic was suspended and henderson injured... coutinho was rested.... sturrdige was not quite rested par se. he was managed through injury recovery.

Enriques knee is gone... he's toast.

Enrique was a terrible buy, he is decent when fit but thats virtually never. Its pretty obvious to me that a bloke that big uptop isn't going to last long in football, its why you never see weightlifters do cardio, to much impact force on the joints.

at the time for 7mil he was good but this knee injury has ruined him. he was only decent playing for us cos he had pace to recover bad positioning. the main thing i didn't like was him just holding the ball to beat a man before ever passing it.

Well... it looks like he is ****ed so..... LB still looks an issue

Reports that Gerrard may be fit for this one. Hope Rodgers can resist the temptation to bring him back. Leave him for Sunday's game if he must play

I think from what he said...... I reckon gerrard will only be back at fa cup game.

He's running about outside it seems... but who knows... no harm being on bench... i suppose lambert has held his position well... can't run seat on bench,

Yeah but he already had the injury which is why he was so cheap, 76 apps in 4 years says it all really. A first team player could expect to play around that many games in a single season.

    Lawro's Idea.
    Liverpool v Burnley (20:00 GMT)
In many ways this is a more difficult game for Liverpool than they found it against Manchester City on Sunday.
City came to Anfield and let Liverpool play - it is what they do.
Burnley won't turn up and try to take them on toe-to-toe like that. Instead, they will be biting into the tackles, denying Liverpool space and making things as tough as possible.

MOTD3: Are Liverpool back on track?
Liverpool's success - or not - in dealing with that might come down to how they cope if they get frustrated.
But they will also need to produce the same intensity as they did against City, when everyone was expecting their players to be tired after their trip to Turkey.
If they manage that, Brendan Rodgers's side will win comfortably.
    Lawro's prediction: 2-0
Kieran's prediction: My mate Mark is a Liverpool fan and I had a chat with him about some of my predictions - if I do very well then I would feel terrible that he didn't get any recognition. Having said that, he said the Reds would win this one 3-0, and he might be a little bit too biased there. Prediction: 2-0
