Well in the heat of the moment we've all been there- both were showing passion so no big shakes - they are probably sharing a protein shake now

Apparently Jerome's foot injury isn't serious according to AN. subbed as a precaution, I guess.

Two seasons ago, people were getting on Bassong and martin's case because there was a lack of organisation, geeing-up, issuing instructions at set pieces, etc.
I'd much rather have it this way - and as China says, I bet they're high-fiving in the dressing room by now <ok>

Nothing wrong with having some passion but we need to keep it together against our arch enemies. Defensively we played brilliant, at times we were forced to play header tennis and I'd rather see us get the ball out of the box, but we kept a clean sheet and Bassong had this player who was apparently going to bang in a hat trick in his back pocket.

Bassong played like he owned that position and some of his defensive headers were back stretchingly powered to clear the lines. May I say he leapt on more than one occasion like an ebony salmon. Imperious. Whittaker too deserves a mention as he was throwing himself in with aplomb. Ruddy dove left and right like a land bound Tom Daley. I really only worried twice and that was straight after we scored the first, but seemingly our heads have been put in the correct place by AN

Loved some of the previous posts.

Great game today and SOOO proud of our team and management team - I expect there will be a few sore heads amongst NCFC fans tomorrow morning and WHY not???? <ok>

Whittaker had a very good game, he might not win every challenge but he certainly stopped a lot of crosses from going into box, you can't knock his enthusiasm or his bravery, too often you see fullbacks running with players rather then committing to challenges.

Just back from the game and I have to say; "How the **** are Ipswich so high in the table?" Absolutely dreadful in so many ways and I would imagine Sir Bobby is turning in his grave. We were never going to lose that game and were in complete control bar a couple of goalmouth scares. Other than Millwall they are undoubtedly the worst team to visit Carrow Road this season and how Mick McCarthy can say there wasn't much between the two teams beggars belief, I genuinely laughed out loud when I heard that. At times we were reduced to their level early on but we soon sussed them out. Every goal kick by their 'keeper saw all of the players bunched in one part of the pitch waiting for the big high punt forward, total dross and it's easy to see why their attendances are so poor. I'm not just saying this because it's Ipswich but it will be a travesty for football if they somehow manage to get themselves promoted, lower league hoofball crap and MM is a dinosaur they should sack him now while they still have a chance of going up <ok>

I think, counterintuitively, promotion will be their best chance of getting rid of MM. He gets the most out of limited resources, which is all Marcus Evans is going to give the manager whilst they're in this league.

They need to get promoted, give Mick his P45 the next morning, and get someone in who can use Premier League money to build a football team.
